Philips 12496 LongerLife Miniature Bulb, 2 Pack

I have a 2007 VW Beetle and had the tail light go out on me. This was the best price on a replacement bulb and so I ordered it. Shipping was fast and the bulb and packaging was outstanding. In a matter of a few minutes, I was back on the road again and no longer worried about getting an expensive ticket for my inoperative tail light.

Bought at night and received next day and way cheaper than at any store. It fit perfectly and worked. Now, lets see how long it'll last but most reviewers say it last a while.

The lamps are what they say they are, but if you're unsure of the lamp base, consider this: Clear lamp studs on the sides of the lamp base are 180 degrees apart in a socket for clear lamps. For amber lights, the studs are 150 degrees and 210 degrees apart. (If you look at the tip and visualize it as a clock face, this lamp would be showing 12:20 instead of 6:00) Inserting one of these lamps into a clear lamp socket will cause the lamp to lodge itself into the socket. To preserve the socket, you will need to destroy the lamp and remove it piece by piece. In the trade we call this an I/O problem.....Ignorant Operator. Learn from my mistake.

These are not the OEM Bulbs and the orange finish will wear out after a while and they will progressively turn yellow
