Only on bare hard floors
The brush only spins when in contact with hard services. I tried it in a low nap door mat and it stopped spinning, couch stopped not worth it

Works well, feels gritty.
I love using new floor tools. This brush is ideal for hard floors with a lot of grit and grime. My only complaint is that it sounds really gritty as I glide it over the floor. But the central vac suction really powers that turbine. Love it.

Works well
I purchased this as an alternative to throwing out an otherwise fine vacuum cleaner who's powered floor piece broke on my trusty old Hoover Canister. The broken Hoover part was no longer available. The head is not powered but runs off the suction of the vacuum. It seems to pick up almost as well as the original powered unit. It is a bit clumsy on some area rugs, but for most carpets and bare floors it seems fine and does not scratch the surface.
