Melissa & Doug Camp Bunk Box of Questions - Mini

I have several of these little boxes. A friend has given them to me over the years, she has triplet girls. She brought them to camp one year and her unit was the most tightly bonded of all there. They are fantastic ICE BREAKERS! There is always down time; in the car traveling, after lunch, waiting on everyone to arrive... I have even used them as a filler rotation at carnivals, birthdays, craft events.I am a program director at a Girl Scout Camp. Usually we give our volunteers a little thank you gift on the last day but this year we are giving them a mini emergency idea kit the first day. The number one item in their kit will be a Melissa & Doug Box of Questions!Using this tool allows me to get my girls to open up quicker to one another and to myself. Girls I hardly know will come up to me and say hi summer after summer because they discovered they have something in common with me after playing with the Mini Box of questions.

As a camp counselor, I thought this set of cards would be a great first-day icebreaker for my cabins. Not all of the questions were necessarily applicable to all camp life, and some were kind of negative or awkward. Other questions were great though. Also, it seemed like there were a lot more cards than there actually were because the box comes halfway filled with a piece of cardboard. Definitely not a camp "must have," but also not bad for a $5 care package addition.

I was sending my daughter to sleep away camp for the first time and wanted to send her the perfect care package... to be delivered the first weekend she was there. I wanted items that were different, unique, and very camp specific and was incredibly pleased to find this very camp specific game. It features fun questions that the kids can answer to get to know each other or during down time. I asked her about it when she returned and she told me that the entire cabin got involved and that it was so much fun for all of them. I saved it in her camp storage box and plan to send it again next summer!

Great item to tuck into summer camp luggage. I packed this in my 9 year old daughter's trunk as a surprise for camp. She played it with her bunk mates and they loved it! What a fun way to break the ice and make new friends.

My 11-year-old daughter had a blast with these at camp. The girls in her cabin really enjoyed these great conversation starters.

These are so great for a camper going to camp alone and worried about making new friends.I bought this for a 10yr old and she and her tent mates had a great time with them.

My daughter loved using this at camp. She and her friends really enjoyed the questions. She is ten but I think she will bring it back with her for at least a few more summers.
