Archi-Graphic: An Infographic Look at Architecture

The premise is deep - the execution is shallow. The geometry of the graphics has more meaning than the intended information. Please seek out Edward Tufte and read all his books before making any more books about graphics. This book is visually stunning and has so many layers of whit, intelligence, and drool-inducing data. Believe me - you want this book. Archi-Graphics is not just for architects and designers. It's an amazing book that everyone will find interesting because everyone wants that book they grew up with and could never put down.

Archi-Graphics graphically depicts architecture's richness and complexity. It is educational without preaching or expressing moral or political implications. And if a picture is worth 1000 words, the graphics presented in this book express an encyclopedia of architectural discipline and inclinations over time. The extensive research depicted in Archi-Graphics exposes great architects thoughts and proclivities on many issues; some resolved over time and some ongoing. If you enjoy or are curious about the growth of architecture, this book is a must read and if you are an architectural historian it provides consolidated research in an enjoyable and succinct form.

Archi-Graphic is an amazing, fantastic, and a must read. It had me learning about architecture and history in a whole new way. I've opened this book so many times that the spine is nearly worn already. I promise you will never get tired of looking at this book and it is a must have for every architecture enthusiasts' shelf.

This is a thoughtful and beautiful collection of illustrations.  It is packed with interesting information presented in a creative and humorous way. Every page offers extensive research of facts and data any scholar, educator, or design professional would appreciate. Each graphic it's own right is work of art. Ideal for a coffee table.

Witty, funny, clear and informative...

Un libro muy geek de arquitectura, está basado en datos algunos curiosos otros de cierta utilidad para conocer las tendencias globales y alguno que otro dato absurdo pero hecho con cierto humor o sátira todo esto presentado con gráficos sintetizados con un uso importante del color y el diseño gráfico. Recomendable para quien vive, come y respira arquitectura.

Super buen libro en cuestión de abstracción de información mediante infografías. El encuadernado es sencillo y fácil de lastimar si se usa de forma incorrecta, en cuanto contenido muy bueno.

Es un libro muy interesante como ejemplo para tablas de contenido. No explica como hacerlas, solo es una compilación de imágenes y algunos comentarios al respecto.

Desde parejas e influencias de arquitectos hasta colores empleados por cada uno de los más famosos, es una genial compilación de datos curiosos increíblemente origanizados, aunque mi única queja, es que a veces raya en lo innecesario... Es decir, la vida sin el libro sigue, no es indispensable , pero sí necesario para entender mucho del mundo arquitectónico. Para archinerds!

This book is about graphically arranging data though different forms of charts which is well arranged but the font size is really poor, which is less than 6pt. less than the visiting card font and just because the printing is on matt paper it is further unreadable. The book is supported with scant text. The size could be little big and font readable.
