Awesome little instant camera, just not good for heat set ID badges
After doing a lot of research (but apparently not enough) for a simple, economical, quality instant camera for my employer (after the polaroid film for our old ID camera stopped being made and our supply ran out), I settled on KODAK Smile Instant Print Digital Camera. We do not wish to spend thousands or even hundreds on a new ID system, and this seemed ideal as the size of the prints, ability to take two in photo booth mode, and the ability to delete or select what to print seemed perfect. What didn't click was the fact the Zink paper is heat set and our plastic laminating machine would destroy the prints. We considered the type that use the ribbon cartridge prints, but those seem to jam and break per reading reviews. The current Polaroid style are too thick (our old system had the prints that you peeled away the outside, not the thick prints with chemical pod borders that are not easily trimmable. As much as I would love this camera for personal use, I decided I'd rather get a Zinc printer and use my cell phone with it, so I opted not to buy it off my employer but to return it as it failed to serve the purpose for which it was bought. The claims that the prints are heat resistant are not valid with a thermal laminator. We ended up buying a traditional style Fugi Poloroid type camera which the prints are hard to cut unless you delaminate or peel the clear plastic from the top and black plastic from the bottom (prints will then curl but not a problem once laminated in the plastic ID badge). This is not recommended by some due to the risk of coming in contact with caustic chemicals. The Kodak smile takes clearer pictures than the Fugi, It has a controllable or automatic flash, focus and exposure, many features that I liked. I highly recommend it to people looking for a fun instant camera that do not need the prints to withstand heat.

Fun for my purpose but dies t take great pictures and prints are grainy
I was at an event and someone asked if they could take my picture. I said yes and thought that was it, then they handed me a picture to keep. I thought, “what a great idea and fun gifting experience”. I looked into poloroid and all the cameras were too bulky then found this which I thought was about the size of a smartphone and would be more pocket friendly. It’s slightly larger and at least twice as thick as a smartphone. It’s still fun to use but I wish it was not a printer but rather an actual exposure of the image being taken. The images aren’t crisp and many of them have lines from the printing process. I’ll finish up the remaining prints I have left and look for something with better quality results. Still fun, I am just picky I guess.

Overall very Happy
I was really skeptical to spend any more money on a instant camera, I had a instax mini 7 and it took 2-3 pictures then the rest all failed. Each package of film same thing. But I’m having a gender reveal and I am determined to have a instant camera photo album of everyone who shows up instead of everyone signing a book. What I liked about this product is that it came with 5 photos already so that you can test the camera. I’m very pleased. You can also see the photo before printing and you can add a border or no border or you can do a Photo Booth setting where it’s two pictures side by side. It also has simple filters, normal, black and white, vintage and aqua. Overall happy with my purchase!

Decent for the price
Decent for the price but not too good quality for pictures but that’s what you can expect for $100

Decent camera
Picture quality and coloring not great, but good enough for an instant camera. Really like the storage and that you can choose which pictures to print

Good but it could have been great
All of the zink cameras made at this point are toys. This one is built very sturdy and I like the fact that when you close it both the lens and the controls are protected. It's a brilliant design. It also has a flash and some of these zink cameras do not. So it is more capable of working in indoor situations. On the negative side of things you can see where they cut corners to save a pitiful amount of money. It's 2021, even a child's camera has a 12 MP sensor. They do some optical interpolation hocus pocus and claim that this is 10MP equivalent. The sensor is actually 5 MP, not 10. I understand that it prints to a 2x3 but the digitals should be respectable should you decide to print larger at a shop. What did this save? 10 bucks? The internal memory holds maybe 5 pictures. Again. This is a pitiful amount of money to save at a significant cost to the consumer. To embed 32G of memory (as a manufacturer) costs very little. For the consumer to buy a 32G card is maybe $12. For heavens sake, put it in there. What did you save? 2 bucks? Why?Overall it's nice for what it is. The prints cost the same as if you went to a photo lab. Take a few pictures, peel the backs off and stick them to the inside of greeting cards.Next time you take the family to the zoo grab a map and stick some photos of the fam on it. Instant souvenir. For this type of thing it's a no brainer.

Do NOT buy the pink one !
"..But I like pink", I hear you say.. The problem is Kodak have printed the button functions white on pink and they are almost impossible to see in ANY light condition, never mind on a night out or party for which this type of 'fun' camera was designed.our first use of it was at a fiends wedding last week and the novelty factor of being able to present printed photos of their big day as it happened was well appreciated. This is a toy , and it is fun to use for its novelty value especially when in the company of (younger) people who have thousands of pictures on their smart phone but not one single print of any of them. The screen is small and not very bright and the function buttons that appear when the phone is opened are easily pressed in error when passing the camera around to take snaps, which changes the function(s) . It has virtually ZERO memory..3 photos, so a micro SD card is a must. Some might think at 50 pence per print it is an expensive toy and you might be right, but it's fun to have a printed (adhesive) snap of your night out .....before the night is out.How did I overcome the invisible white on pink buttons ?..I drew on them with a thin indelible marker pen. Job Done. I can see us as a family taking this flawed thing with us on most occasions just for the fun factor.

Poor quality, best to avoid
The product was brought for an 8 year old, so we weren’t looking for anything spectacular. However, the overall poor quality is disappointing. The camera is plastically to the touch & external colour is in fact flat; not like the glossy pictures of the product you will see. The lense & screen look like something from 20 years ago & it has a clunky cheap toy like feel. The photo quality is dire (wasn’t expecting them to be great, but most look like a drawn by a child in a darkened room). Even then half the photos don’t print properly anyway - and the paper is very expensive too. No way is this product worth purchase price. You instantly get the feeling you’ve been ripped off & the product will be in the bin in a couple of months at best. AVOID

Great Present for my Daughter
My daughter wanted this for Xmas and after much argument I capitulated. The caveat being she had to pay for the film out of her pocket money so she would understand how much these things cost and to bring down the frequency with which she would take photos of random cats.

Great fun camera, but fiddly to use
Bought this for our young daughter as a fun camera able to print out the pictures, and for that it is excellent. Great prints, which have a sticky backing. Great fun for her. However, the menu system is very fiddly - it's very easy to take a picture, but for it to not be saved to the device memory. The picture quality is also not to good, but I didn't buy it for the photo quality, so personally I'm not bothered about that.

DoA - total waste of money
This camera simply did not work. It flickered the first time we opened it then died. I put it on charge for two days. The LED sat on red. Never changed to green. Never turned on. Dead on Arrival. Sent back. Utter and total waste of money.
