Calm and Cool Pellet for Horses, 12 Pound Pail

This stuff works fantastic for my little mare! Normally, I can't ride her by herself anywhere away from the barn. But after only 5 days of being on it, I rode her out by herself away from the barn for about an hour - that was amazing! She was calm and cool just like the product's name says! It was even windy that day, too. Last weekend I took her camping for a few days. She's never been tied to a highline before, yet she tied to it like a pro. Plus, she behaved really well on the trails, when before it took her hours to really settle down and learn to pace herself and not get all worked up. She did have a little problem the first day with drinking - even though I brought water from home. She got somewhat dehydrated (electrolytes will take care of that next time) and wasn't eating all her grain well (and also not all her Calm and Cool then). I could tell she was getting a little bit antsy the 3rd and last day of camping, but she still got enough of it to keep her calm and thinking more. She's 16 years old now - wish I knew about this stuff years ago! :)

Helps keep the horse from having anxiety

This is a repeat order as I like how the calming effects help my horses. The only thing I have concerns about is that the lid needs to be taped down before it is shipped. The last two orders have had the bucket lid popped off, spilling product inside the shipping box. This will not stop me from ordering this product again.

It was damaged. The product was pouring out of the package and it has not been opened

I have a very high strung jumper. This product took about 2 weeks to really kick in, but now he is cool as a cucumber. Not jumping and bucking any more at all. I can ride him on a windy day and he is fantastic and focused. No more feisty antics. I was considering selling him, but not now. I will definitely recommend calm and cool to anyone with a horse who needs to take it down a notch.

My 14yr old Thoroughbred loves the taste of his Calm and Cool pellets but I am afraid that it doesn't really do anything by the way of chilling him out. I have fed it to him regularly in his feed and have even tried giving him a hefty dose a little before I ride with no consistent results, but like I said he loves the taste so I give it to him before I ride and hope for the best:)

I can’t tell you how how many calming supplements I have tried for my horse. He is a good boy but his brain is going constantly. In the cross ties he would twirl his head in a circular motion and under saddle would constantly be fidgeting with his bit. Calm and cool has made a huge difference. He now stands quietly and his busy mouth is so much better. He is more relaxed in the cross ties and under saddle without making him drowsy or dull. He still has loads of personality and is a funny character. It is not show approved but I no longer show so don’t care. Very reasonable in price and must taste good because he gobbles it up.

Used it for 3 weeks and found my horse to be more reactive. Put her back on Calming and she's good again. i think the Alfalfa base is to blame.
