TP-Link N300 WiFi Extender(TL-WA855RE)-WiFi Range Extender, up to 300Mbps speed, Wireless Signal Booster and Access Point, Single Band 2.4Ghz Only

I purchased the 1200mbps MSRM Wifi Extender. It was difficult to understand the instructions and how it install this product. After doing some investigative work I was able to find the instructions for installing this product. I am including them in this review for anyone who may need them (like I did). Step One: Log in1)Plug wifi extender into a socket (wall socket, etc. which is available for 110V plug) and wait to make sure it works in good condition(the Power LED is solid and the WLAN LED flickers).2)Find "MSRM" in the wifi choices on your phone and connect "MSRM"(here is no password asked since you've not yet set the password).3)After you successfully connect "MSRM", open the web browser (google etc.) on your phone and type "192.168.10.1" into the URL search box to see the log in page.4)On the log in page, you type in username and password (both are "admin" as defaulted) to click "login".Step Two: Select "Repeater Mode"1)After you click "login", you see the choices of three modes and you select the "Repeater" Mode.2)Then you'll see a wifi list on the mode wizard page. And you select the name of your wifi router 3)Then you'll see the page where there is the SSID "MSRM" and you enter the password which is the one of your wifi router. Click "Connect".Step Three: Everything is readyHere you should go back to find "MSRM" in the wifi choices on your phone and connect "MSRM". And here it will ask for a password which is the one of your wifi router. Now you can try to surf the internet.Best regards

I was able to connect the device to my IPhone X and my IPad said it was connected but when I tried Google search or tried to check my security system to view my cameras it said no internet. This Company has to give the worst instruction on how to fix these issues. You would have to be an IT person to understand what you could possibly do. I had tried to get it correct Workin with it for one hour after I received it and immediately requested Amazon for a return of this device. So many people said it is great but instruction tell nothing how to deal with issues I was getting to have it work for my. DO NOT FALL FOR PEOPLE SAYING EASY TO INSTALL AND NO ISSUES!!!Terrible product and instructions need to be more thorough.I would not buy it if I were you!!

When it works, it works fine. Unfortunately any interruption in signal, and you have to completely reset the whole system. So, if you lose internet for 5 seconds, you have to reset this extender as if it were new, out of the box. If you have even semi-regular interruptions, avoid this extender.

The directions that come with the extender are inadequate. With research, I was able to determine the proper installation procedure. I ran it several times. Each time, at some point in the procedure, the process failed. I am posting this so you will not waste your time with this product.

I followed the (not very well written) instruction packet that came with this product and thought it all went seamlessly. It took a couple of tries because the page to set up my WiFi got stuck on the loading screen about 3 times. I finished setting it up and connected. It just doesn’t work. The light stays red and I have absolutely no connection from this thing. I moved it all over my house in spots where the router has absolutely no problem reaching. I even plugged it directly next to my router to see if that would do anything. It won’t connect. Useless. Will be returning.

Instructuctions are confusing and written by a person who's english is there third language.First issue is when setting a Password, it should always be followedby a PW conformation!When I tried to hook up to the router, the menu asked for a Pre-Shared Key. Instructions dont adddress what a PSK is or where to find it.

The instruction included with the unit are USELESS!! I only attempted the install due to a user review that explained the install better. Even then I worked over 2 hours on the “install” without any success. It would always hang up at the point in the install where a radar screen appears on my iPhone in the install process. it never really completes the install.I will keep battling this install only because this was bought as a gift and the return period has passed. I’ll take the reveiwers word for the fact that once installed properly this unt works fairly well... Will NOT recommend this to anyone if I ever do get it working...

This extender is trash. And of course I'm one week past the return window. If you router loses a signal/power, the extender just stops working. You can't just move the extender back closer to your router, push the WPS button on your router and then push the WPS button on the extender to reconnect it. You have to completely reset the extender to factory settings (hold the WPS button for 10 seconds) and then set it up from scratch again. I have had to do this twice in a month now, since our power flickered in a storm. Which happens often. I am so mad at myself for not returning it the first time it happened. Love wiping my butt with a $50 piece of trash.
