It makes a buzzing noise when it engages

This one was much quieter that the first one I ordered. I do maintenance at an apartment complex. Much cheaper to replace this part vs. buying a new dishwasher. Less expensive that manufactures replacement part and works fine.

I replaced my damaged drain solenoid on my GE dishwasher with the Supplying Demand WD21X10060 Dishwasher Drain Solenoid. It was easy to change. The replacement required a Phillips screwdriver and a pair of long nosed pliers. It only took five minutes to change.The solenoid works well and fully actuates the dishwasher's drain valve. The solenoid is noisy; really noisy. It loudly buzzes while actuated. The original part did not make this much noise.

Part was relatively easy to install after watching a video. Hardest part was removing and reconnecting the dishwasher. Original problem was the dishwasher was not filling w/water and had a small drip underneath it. This part completely resolved that issue.

It seems to work but the noise is really loud. I understand they make noise but this one is twice as loud. I have it two stars cause it does work.

This was the primary part running my dishwasher opening and closing the pump door. If it rusts, the unit will constantly pump out water and never wash dishes. When installing take care of any leaks so this switch stays dry. It's magnetic solenoid opens and closes the pump door. The kit was complete!!
