Top quality and literally tougher than nails. My first time out drilling up into the attic from a cutout for a switch box I went right through a double top plate. Went right through nails (or something made of metal) wit no problem, no binding or anything. I used a 1/2 inch right angle drill which helped. Unfortunately I got it I got it crooked and came out near the ceiling in the next room. Lesson learned. Be careful. Couldn't be happier with it but it's not magic.

The bit works just fine. If anything it flexes a bit too much. I was drilling up a wall from the basement. That wall has a stairway attached to one side. I thought I had drilled through the stringer and was headed up. Turns out the bit was going along the he bottom of the stringer at an angle and what I was drilling through were studs. When I realized what was happening and tried to back it out, the bit got bound up and the extension I was using came off the end. This bit will live in the house longer than I will. The second one of these I bought along with a 72” extension did the job wonderfully. I now have 4 Ethernet cables running from my basement to the second floor office with room to spare. Live and learn.

It worked great to fish 14-2 wire through joists. I was able to complete my recess light project with this flex drill bit. Found a review on youtube telling to drill it carefully going forward and backward to avoid the drillbit getting stuck in joist. That way it worked really well.

Used this to run a cable down a wall with a firewall that was 5ft from the top of the wall from the attic. I did have to use an endoscope to find the hole that was drilled in order to thread the wiring through the hole.

Works great. Drilled through the floor in between the wall cavity in its first try. The screw tip helped bite the wood so the bit wouldn't wander. The hole close to the drill tip should help a lot when trying to pull wires through. I used relatively thin twine at first (whatever I had in the house) in order to pull back the bit. Since the bit ended up in an awkward position I couldn't thread the twine through the hole so I ended up taping it to the bit. This made it next to impossible to take the bit back out by simply pulling. I ended up reversing the bit. The twine and tape was shredded when I got it out of the wall. So mental note, if you can't thread the hole don't think tape will simply work. I ended up using my fish tape which worked. It went through the initial hole without any issues.

Give that wall the bird! Unfortunately these quality tools aren't cheap but it is better that doing drywall work or blindly drilling through top plate in the attic (and dropping your bit down the wall) so you can drop ballchain down the wall and try and fish it out the bottom to attach your wire.

Very blunt after going through 2 joists. I got the 3/4" version which appeared to get stuck. I assumed I got a bad piece so I ordered 1/2" to find same results. Frustrated, I cut open the dry wall this morning to know what it could be. The only possibility is that the tool is just too blunt to cut through the wood. You can see how the tool strugglee to cut through the wood in the photo. The deeper hole is less than 1/2". What a waste of time, money and material! Now I have to patch up the dry wall too. Uggh

If you are looking for one of these you are probably not going to be having a fun time using it! That being said this bit does the trick and does exactly as it says it should. I had this thing far over bent and it still returned back straight afterwards. It also chewed through the studs and all the insulation like a dream. The job was terrible to do and without this tool I would have had to cut drywall and open up the whole wall. Saved me big time and I am glad to have it when I need it in my tool kit.

Very sharp for the first several holes. Went through like butter but when it dulled it really dulled. Struggled to finish my project.

I used the bit to install my recessed light in the first floor kitchen. Worked perfectly.

Excellent product, wish the shaft was a little more flexible, but definitely did the job ....with zero issues.

Drills clean holes. Need to little bit of skill to is it effectively. If going through ceiling joists wiggle it so the head hits onto the joist and not the ceiling/floor. Flexibility and strength is good.
