Oh wow so vibrant and bright
Yo this light is actually amazing. I used to have a regular stock aquarium hood lid that came with my aquarium, and i didn't know it looked so dim until I tried this one. The difference is night and day.The first picture is with the hygger light, and the second picture is with the stock hood light (with only two white leds)This light is also very customizable, you can change the time and the lights will automatically dim and turn bright with the time like the actual sun.

Excellent Lights for my Vivariums
Excellent Aquarium lights! I use these for my vivariums & they work spectacularly. I did a lot of research before buying these lights & the hygger brand was highly recommended & I can see why. They have many customization options, & my favorite is the DIY cycle so you can set brightness/color/time for the entire day. The only gripe I have (which is a common gripe I read online) is that the instructions are confusing & it can be hard to set up until you figure out what to do. But once I knew how to operate the lights they have been great & my plants are thriving. I definitely recommend these lights for an aquarium/vivarium setup.

Manufacturer is very responsive and helpful!
I purchased one light for my 55 gallon planted aquarium and LOVED it! It was so much brighter than the other lights I have tried and has worked really well. I really like that you can set the light intensity schedule and I have used that to create a sunrise effect for the morning while I am waking up. It's been great!I liked this light so much that I bought a second one for my other tank which is a 75 gallon planted aquarium. I used the second one in the same way.About two months later, the second light stopped working properly and I was bummed out. I contacted Amazon and they said they could not replace the light because I has surpassed the "30 day return window".So, I reached out to the manufacturer and sent them a video of how the light was behaving (only some of the LED's were functioning). They responded quickly and are shipping me a replacement light!I love this light, but I was a little bummed that the second one stopped working. However, I was very happy that the manufacturer was willing to help me out and send me a replacement light. Giving this 4 stars because although I did experience issues with one of the lights the manufacturer was very helpful in making it right for me as the customer, even though I purchased through Amazon. I have not had any issues with the first light I bought and I have been very happy with it.

Perfect for planted aquarium
This is a good light, but now there is even a better light in the market called the Brite which is bluetooth activated with UV light and easier to customize for your planted aquarium. This light is pretty easy to program, I’m not sure why I see so many reviews complaining that this is a difficult light to program…. Took me like 5 minutes to set up for a Siesta Planted Aquarium for my 29 gallon and 5 gallon planted tank. Plant growth has been crazy with the Siesta Method. Currently I’m using a Siesta Method with this light with the current setting:To set this light for custom mode. You first need to turn off all your other mode first or it is not going to work! Then you simultaneously press the setting and light bulb button at the same time. Remember need to set it to ON then press the setting button again, and you will start with L1 with the flashing number on the right. The number on the right indicates the intensity. Press up and down to control the intensity. Once you are satisfied with the intensity, press the setting button. The left side time flashing is the time your light will be on. The right time flashing is the time your light will be turn off. Press setting to confirm your time and it will switch to L2, repeat your step. Literally L1 - L8 is like a timeslot that you can customize…. How can people not understand that?….L1 - L6 is full spectrum and L7-L8 is night spectrum. Always have 0% on L8 if you dont want algae. If you want algae and have your night mode on the whole night then go ahead.Light 8am - 12pm on. 12 - 4pm off. 4 - 10pm on. This would allow for a 4-4-6 siesta planted aquarium.L1: 8 - 9: 50%L2: 9 - 12: 100%L3: 12-4pm: 0%L4: 4-5pm: 50%L5: 5-9pm: 100%L6: 9pm - 10:30pm: 10%L7: 10:30 - 10:31pm: 0% To turn off the night lightL8: 10:31pm - 7:59am: 0% To turn off for the night and reset back to L1 timeThis siesta light setting is perfect to view your aquarium and let your tank Co2 reset. This also reduce algae. This siesta method also work if you have a Co2 tank, you can also use this setting for your solenoidCo2 7-11am on 3-9:00pm on

I Have a Hygger 957 / 999
The media could not be loaded. I like the light 💡 just not the timer ⏱️ option.. With the timer ⏱️ option the light 💡 is at full spectrum / full blast 💥.. causing an algae bloom in the aquarium..So that’s where DIY comes in, but of course I had a hard time at first setting up DIY option, first of all I’m not good with 24 hrs military time that was printed in the instruction book, I basically just looked online for a 24 hrs / 12 hrs converter chart 📈, in order to setmy time / hour options to 12hrs pacific standard time.Basically you’d see this time in the instruction book 14:00 🕑.. Which would be converted to 2:00 🕑 if you’re using the 12 hrs format..Other then that, I do like my aquarium light 💡..DIY Setup Examples :

Love it
Love all the settings and how you can program brightness, Time to turn on and off and even the other fun colors just to give the room a different ambience depending on what I’m doing or if I have guests over. Fish are still the main attraction, but the light helps a ton!
