If you're looking for a thorough review - here you go!
I am not normally the person to get excited over new cleaning products. I just want something that does the job it's supposed to do - no bells and whistles necessary. This vacuum got me excited enough to come write a review.I'm going to break this down by features.- Chord length - The chord is nice and long! With my old vacuum I would get so annoyed because I was either accidentally pulling the plug out of the outlet or having to stop what I'm doing to change to a closer outlet just to finish a room. Drove me insane! With the Hoover I found myself able to do an entire room and sometimes start into another room all without having to change outlets. Seems silly to rave about but it saved me time and frustration.- Hose/tools - I live near the woods so I'm in a constant battle with spiders and cobwebs. A durable hose is important to help clean the hard to reach webs. I just received the vacuum yesterday so I cannot attest to the long lasting durability of the hose but it feels like a great quality and made my dusting rounds today a lot easier. My last vacuum the hose kept cracking and I would lose all suction and had to hold it a certain way to be able to clean. The Hoover also has an awesome feature where you can lower the suction of the hose which I found helpful today when a plant tipped over on my table and I was able to clean it up without sucking up the table cloth. As far as the tools - it came with this weird "pet" attachment that has heavy duty rubber strips instead of rollers - at first I looked at it like "what the heck is this going to do?" but let me tell you - it's amazing. I vacuumed my steps today with that attachment and while it's kind of awkward to use at first it completely transformed the carpet and brought it back to life! I literally texted my husband while he was at work saying "the pet attachment completely revitalized our carpet!!" (it's been a tough year so yea I'm pumped with any small wins).- Weight - I know some of the reviews said that it's too heavy and hard to push - I disagree. It's not the lightest vacuum I've ever owned but it definitely isn't too heavy. It has just enough weight to feel like it's built to last and it has amazing suction power that you can definitely feel when pushing but I did my entire house today - including carrying the unit up the stairs while cleaning them - and carrying the vacuum by the handle while using the hose to clean all along the trim and ceilings and I have no complaints about the weight. Trust me I'm no weight lifter so my arms would be falling off if this was too much to handle.- Hardwood/tile - I know a lot of vacuums say they are good for hardwood and tile floors - I have never been impressed with their abilities and opted for a broom and dust pan - I have three dogs so I would get what I like to call "fur tumbleweeds" not fun to deal with. The Hoover seemed to do an amazing job even on the non carpet areas of the house so I'm pretty pumped to not have to sweep around tumbleweeds anymore! So if anyone is still reading at this point...bottom line is so far I'm very impressed with this vacuum. If I remember I will come back and update about the long lasting durability but after researching a bunch of vacuums and seeing the prices I am happy to say that this vacuum is cheaper and seems to do an amazing job so far! The amount of dirt/dander/ and fur it picked up even though I recently vacuumed with my old vacuum is amazing (and disturbing!) My husband and I have noticed our allergies this year have been out of control and after seeing what this vacuum picked up I wasn't surprised! So hopefully now we will be getting some relief!

Pet Owner’s Fairy God Mother
Pet Owners, meet your Fairy God Mother, or at least as close as you can get. We live with 8 rescue dogs, including a Great Pyrenees, corgi mixes, beagles and Aussie mixes. I have killed more vacuums than I can count, and yes, they were TOP of the line. This Hoover is a WINNER! Here’s my review: (1) suction power is comparable to a Kirby. I don’t have to spend time making numerous passes like I had to with my third Dyson. The roller doesn’t clog with hair like my Dysons 1-3. This is a HUGE plus, because no broken belts, no nasty accumulations of dog hair, and no fruitless dissections of hair from the roller. The hair goes into the catch canister which is large enough to save you from multiple trips to empty the contents. (2) the design is intuitive, and I’m guessing designed by a pet owner. My big gripe with every other vacuum is the inconvenience of switching from the upright to the handheld vacuum, or wand. This Hoover is AMAZING. You can switch quickly from upright, to hand-held to wand and back again as you tackle each area of your home. It has a switch to increase or decrease the suction power, which is BRILLIANT when it comes to vacuuming delicate items you don’t wish to suction into the tube, like drapes, bed covers, or furniture covers. (3) this vacuum is very maneuverable and it’s design allows you to reach under even a low coffee table. It EXCELS at edging, and the deck is the right width to drive between chair legs, and tilt through tight spaces without a decrease in suction power. It is not self-propelled, although this wasn’t a feature I found necessary. HOOVER may wish to consider this as an option in the future. The edging tool will remove ANYTHING, and it’s got power comparable to edging with a shop-vac. The brush attachment on the hand-held unit works as a duster. I’ve never had a vacuum that could competently work as a DUSTER!! If you have multiple pets, this is a gold-standard feature you won’t wish to do without. The electric cord is not retractable, but who cares when you have 30’ of cord. (4) Vacuum clean-out is amazingly well-designed. Whoever engineered this feature understands the challenges of pet ownership. Dog hair is not the only challenge, and the amount of dust, dirt and dander generated by 8 dogs is the reason I’m a serial vacuum killer. When you release the canister into a trash bag, the contents readily falls out completely. It doesn’t require another tool to empty the contents. Clicking the canister in and out is very user friendly, as is accessing all the inner workings of the canister and filters. (5) I did not find the design of the hose positioning difficult nor cumbersome. There is a top and lower collar to hold the hose in place while you use it as an upright. There is also a tab to hold the electric cord up and away from the vacuum. Other brilliant features are the LED lights which light up darkened areas (under furniture, behind doors), the on/off roller brush function, and the BIG red on/off power button. The rubber pet hair “comb” is not a notarized brush, but fits on the end of the hand-held, or the wand. The suction is so superior, that the hair lift by this device just enables the vacuum to pick up and take the hair away.In summary, if you own multiple pets, buy it. I’m guessing it could handle a shedding horse, although that is not it’s intended use. However, for you horse people, you will understand how impressive this vacuum must be. Horse people have little or no time to clean their houses, so consider this sweeper as a real time saver. It grabs the dust bunnies from dogs and cats, does a decent job on hair removal from furniture, and maneuvers on the swivel deck easily with one hand from hard floor to carpeted areas. Buy it.
