NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450 by PNY 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express Gen 2 x16 Quad DisplayPort or DVI-D SL Professional Business Graphics Board, VCQ450NVS-X16-DVI-PB

Needed a video card that could support 4 monitors, this one works perfect. Easy to install and setup. The management utility also does a great job of showing which monitor is on which port and the video settings.

I am able to run 4 monitors on this card plus another on my main  EVGA GeForce GTX460 SE 1 GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card 01G-P3-1366-TR . I run a mixture of 3 NEC standard aspect ratio  19IN LCD Monitors 1280X1024 VGA/ Dvi-d Spkr Blk Cabinet 3YR Warr  and 2 large wide  Samsung 2494LW 24-Inch LCD Monitors (Black) . I want to add Amazon gave me an incredible deal on the NEC's. Amazon also gave me FREE TWO DAY SHIPPING. More on this below. 2 of the NEC's and 2 of the Samsungs are attached to 2  Vertical Dual LCD Monitor Stands (Holds Up to 24 Inch Monitors) . I chose these stands because they clamp to the rear of my heavy desk on the top. This is California and we have earthquakes here. I also have a very fat cat in the house and you never know. It actually works out quite well because the monitors are nearly the perfect distance away from my keyboard.I built my entire system from scratch, choosing, installing all the parts and then installing all the software. At first I had a hard time getting the PNY NVS 450 to work. However, because I had not installed all the video drivers, I was patient. I also had forgotten the Samsungs not only have a soft touch switch on the front, but also a hard switch on the back. After about 30 minutes, I was able to get everything to work. One thing which hindered me was PNY had included VERY LITTLE DOCUMENTATION. All they included was a single sheet AND IT WAS GENERICALLY WRITTEN, NOT EVEN SPECIFIC TO THE NVS 450! I was lucky Amazon was giving me free 2-day shipping because I was crushed for time. Everything had to go smoothly for me to complete all my work. Yet, PNY wasn't really helping me any by just including a single generic instruction sheet. This is all the more incredible when you realize, out of all the parts I have purchased, the PNY NVS 450 is BY FAR THE MOST EXPENSIVE COMPUTER PART I HAVE EVER PURCHASED AND I HAVE BEEN BUILDING MY OWN COMPUTERS FOR OVER 20 YEARS!!!Now I have more screen space than ever before. I have so much screen space, I often have to shake the mouse just to find my cursor! The 5 monitors give off so much light, all I need at night is a single 23 watt compact fluorescent bulb! One important point I want to add is I took a chance and purchased 2 - 10 foot DisplayPort cables for the NEC's and 1 - 10 foot and 1 - 6 foot DVI-D<>DisplayPort cables for the Samsungs at MonoP... I did NOT use the short DisplayPort<>DVI-D cables which came with the PNY NVS 450. I had no problems and it's a cleaner, more easier to manage solution. If you want to save yourself some money, all you really need is the NVS 450 and nothing else. You can probably even download the drivers from PNY or nVidia. I see the NVS 450 is in short supply here. This could be because nVidia is getting ready to release a new chip so don't be surprised if this happens fairly soon.Someone here mentioned the NVS 450 is not for gaming, more for business. This is true. However, the NVS 450 CAN play internet video with no problems. I assume it can also play DVD content but I haven't had the time to test this yet. I like how the NVS 450 has no fan, only passive cooling. I also chose my eVGA GeForce GTX460 SE because reviews stated it is also a silent, cool running, fairly low power requirement card.Anyway, I am satisfied with my results. I hope this review will be of help to anyone who reads it. I have included photos in the product photo section.

i was using a Matrox quad video card before this one. It died because the fan died on it. I switched to Nvidia because it supported Windows 7 at the time and Matrox didnt. The first card worked and then suddenly quit supporting the multiple screens and finally it was down to 1 monitor it would recognize. I have 4 of the same exact monitor models. I returned the card and got another one. This one worked for about 9 months and then just recently died and again down to 1 screen. I question the quality of the software for this product and the drivers. I think the ATI chipset works better and isnt worth the headaches of Nvidia.

This only has 512MB memory, this is much lower than most cards on the market today. My video was choppy and it slowed down my whole machine.

This is a wonderful video card for quad monitors, I build top of line trading computers and always try to talkmy clients into this NVS 450, a bit pricey but well worth the investment, as well as backed by 3 year warrantynot to mentions top notch support people that speak English and live in USA.I have bought 7-8 cards from 2-3 vendors over last 2 years and only had problem with one which Amazon replaced immediaely.And what can you say about Amazon, they are the greatest !By the way I have put 2 cards in one computer with 650 watt power supply back in being and have never heard from client, or any other client as far as that goes. If they burn in 1st 48 hours without a problemthere should be no problem.Still best bang for the buck out there, for $120 per monitor and 3 yr warranty, plus state of art software, Beware of Generic's, low end suppliers, Amazon 1st, New Egg, Tiger, that is it for me.I have installed Win 7, 64 bit on most of my new builds without ever an issue.

It does work on linux and windows with dual 2560x1600 displays while only consuming 35w but it is slow and vmware has issues with it when switching from guest to host and unity. Probably not enough memory for this setup. Upgraded to the newer 510nvs and it is significantly faster and works very well. Get the new one!

I needed a replacement four monitor video card to replace on my PC. I selected the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450 from BestBuyBay. The price was good and the quality and performance of this small slim card was outstanding. It is quite with passive cooling. Shipping to Hawaii was way faster than expected. Very happy with the product.

Owned many of these units. Comes with adapter cables, Caution if you buy a lower priced item either here or elsewhere, as it might not come with the adapter cables. The item sold and shipped by Amazon DOES come with the adapter cables. Caution about trying to save money and buying the previous model (440)USED, if you plan on going Windows 7, as you might run into campatability issues. P.S.for those new to multi-screen cards, this is not for 3D gaming.
