Glocusent Reading Light, Orignal LED Neck Light with 3 Colors 6 Brightness

I have this for knitting, and it's perfect for this reason. The light. Is comfortable to wear and is very lightweight. The moveable lights are so helpful, and they are very bright.

Excellent light and it's lasted years with no trouble. I bought this in 2022 apparently and its still like new. The charge seems to go on so long I forget to charge it, even when it goes dull it still seems to last forever. It has different settings for light colour and brightness- i tend to use the white light as i use it in the evening for doing cross stitch or writing. The little velvet patch on the back makes it comfy and warm on the neck. Easy to use, just click to switch on and each click gives a different level of light - you can adjust the two sides separately. Very small.and lightweight, not uncomfortable to wear, I forget its on. My mum has one of these two and says exactly the same. These make a great gift for someone who needs a little extra light for reading or doing close work, but perhaps they dont like using the 'big light' (its why I got mine) great for older people who's eyesight might be starting to fail, and allows them to carry on doing crafty things or reading for a bit longer, especially in the darker evenings when eyesight fails even more!

I bought this light as a Xmas present for my wife. We allowed each other a max of £100 for presents so had to keep it "cheap". What a winner this was! She is knitting dark wool a lot, and is constantly complaining about not enough light. Well I nipped that right in the bud (the complaint - not the wife). She is using it everywhere, and when she moves through the house, there are no lamps switched on anymore. Walking at night is brilliant and it lights the way - very handy. There are three stages of brightness on each lamp, and the color can be changed in three different ones as well. This is done on the central/back of the light. You will also find the USB-C connector to charge the device. A cable is provided with it so you can connect it to your PC for charging, or in a plug to a wall outlet. I started "borrowing" the light, as I am repairing PCs and stuff. The possibility to point it in a good position makes it very versatile in use. Hanging it in a desktop case so I would not be blocking myself from the light above - or next to - me worked wonders for me. It was short lived as I was told to get my own... This whole "we share everything" in a marriage is a hoax men, especially for useful things like this. So I got my own light, which DID have a charging problem. I contacted Glucosent to see if they had any suggestions for getting it to work. They responded within the day and informed me they had sent off another one. Amazing! I will still try and find out what the issue was on 'my first' one, but this service was beyond expectation. Would I recommend it? Yes I would! It helps my wife, it helps me, it is easy to use and VERSATILE in usage too. As for how long it lasts on one charge - that differs in how strong you set the light, how intense/often you are using it, and in what surroundings you use it. Outside currently it is colder and does have an influence on the lifetime of the charge. My wife's one did not make it to the advertised 80 hours, but 60 was easily reached. Me using it in sheds without lights and an attic that could do with a bulb is no doubt taking its charge toll, but I have not charged it a second time yet. If you don't have it: Get it. This is not a gadget.

Bought as I needed something at nighttime to allow me to read physical books whilst my newborn is in the cot. It does the job, however I do wish there was an option to make it a little less bright. There are 3 brightness levels and 3 different colour “warmths” and all of them a very bright. Which is great for putting away washing without turning the light on but it is a little bright for reading. The fit is okay, it’s a little big for me but it’s quite comfy. I would say that if you have quite a wide neck, this would also fit you as my partner tried it on and it fit him perfectly. The weight is very light, barely register that it is around my neck. Battery life seems quite good so far. It feels like it’s been made well and with quality parts. I just wish there were more brightness options.

First order was delivered to the wrong address and couldn't be located. Refund issued straight away. The device itself is fabulous! Lightweight, easy to use and does the job as intended. Makes reading in the evenings easier!

Brilliant product (pun not intended). The 3 choices in lighting effect, and also choices of intensity make this an outstanding little tool! I LOVE that I could get it in my favourite colour, purple, and a close friend got hers in pink. (Upon my recommendation) I read in bed before I sleep at night. My husband can sleep even with my reading lamp on, but this neck torch allows me to read an IRL book with the lamp off, rather than reading on my phone or tablet. Thus, I can have less screen time and less ambient light, which helps me to unwind and shut down my mind in order to actually get sleepy. It bends so I can basically fold it into this, so it is easy to set on the side without falling off the dresser. It's great! It's a solid item - not flimsy - but very lightweight. NO batteries required! Recharges quickly and keeps a charge for a long time! Extremely light on your neck. I hardly know I'm wearing it. I'm sure it would also work for doing some hand stitching or other tasks, if you wanted the rest of the room darkened without disturbing someone watching telly or using a game console. This would also be fabulous for air travel. Fits easily into a handbag and would eliminate the need for using the overhead cabin light. I have trouble reaching the overhead switches, and those lights spillover onto neighbouring seats sometimes. One slight drawback is that the middle section doesn't bend in as tightly as I wish it did, but I believe that's because of the area needed to house the rechargeable mechanism. The price is also fantastic for what you get. I'm thrilled!!

I had read that Glocusent neck lights were very good, and decided to treat myself to one as I knit, read, and crochet and needed extra light at times to see clearly. At the time of purchase, both the "old" model and the "new" model were available. Normally, it is instinctive to go for the newer models of things, but the main reason I chose the older model was that each of the lights was controlled independently - 3 levels of brightness plus off on each, so several combinations - compared to the newer model where both lights had to be on at the same level of brightness (or off) together. I'm glad that I did as much of the time I only need one light on, and usually the lowest setting is sufficient, perhaps 95% of the time. There are three "colours" of light (both lights are the same for this): yellow, which is a kind light and very good for reading in bed; white, which is the closest to daylight and is great for seeing most things especially dark yarns (I'm sure every sewer, knitter, or crocheter can understand this!), and is also the best if the Glocusent is used for walking around in the dark (e.g. it saves putting the light on when walking round the house at night, yet means you can safely see where you're going, or if you need to pop down the garden when it's dark); blue - I don't like this setting and never use it. The "arms" are very flexible to point the lights where you want the light to be focused, independently, and has the advantage for crafters that shadows are minimised, especially compared to a headtorch or single-source reading lamp. The neck part is a fixed 'U' shape, and is pretty wide - great for those with bigger necks or who are wearing collars, but my only gripe with this "old" model is that it does slip to one side if you bend over (in normal use, sitting or even walking, it's fine) and can end up shining in totally the wrong direction, or even drop off. I understand that the newer model has a slimmer, narrower, shape so it probably wins on this point. The battery lasts for absolutely ages before needing charging. I use mine every day for at least 15 minutes and sometimes several hours, yet I probably charge it up every couple of months - so infrequently that I can't remember when the last time was. Overall, I absolutely love this, and would definitely replace it with another one if needed.

Una volta regolata, resta stabile senza dare fastidio, anche durante utilizzi prolungati. Promossa anche la batteria ricaricabile USB-C: l’autonomia è davvero elevata e, a seconda dell’intensità usata, si possono fare diversi giorni senza ricaricare. Un bel passo avanti rispetto alle vecchie lampade con Micro-USB o pile. Altro dettaglio intelligente è l’angolo di illuminazione ristretto: illumina bene il libro o l’area di lavoro senza “sparare” luce in giro, ideale se si legge accanto a qualcuno che dorme 😴. Schon der erste Eindruck von der Glocusent Leselampe ist hervorragend, denn sie ist top verarbeitet und wirkt sehr wertig. Sie ist ideal zum Lesen oder für Handarbeiten. Die unabhängige dreifache Einstellbarkeit sowohl der Lichthelligkeit als auch der Lichtfarbe beider Arme schafft eine ideale Beleuchtungsumgebung für fast alle Gelegenheiten. Dabei ist sie bequem um den Hals zu tragen sowohl im Stehen, Sitzen oder Liegen. Eine wirklich tolle Innovation. So ist es endlich möglich, auch im gemütlichen Relaxsessel zu lesen, ohne dabei das helle Oberlicht einschalten zu müssen. Meine Frau kann ihren Pullover stricken und dabei trotzdem die weihnachtliche Stimmung der Christbaumbeleuchtung genießen. Auch unsere Freunde, denen wir die Leselampe gezeigt haben, sind begeistert.

Great light. Easy to use and helps with craft work. The tips are flexible and easily directed to what you are working on. It has 3 light levels. I always use the brightest level but if you had better eyes than me you could use a lower light level. I am planning to use it on a plane trip when all the lights are dimmed so I can continue working without keeping my seat mates up. It is light weight and decent battery life when charged.
