Fantastic Read for anyone interested in Jaimini
Self taught astrologer since 1980’s. I have taken a few courses and gone to lectures for both Western and Vedic astrology. An avid fan ofJoni Patry-I found Shreekala’s information interesting and fascinating. I will use this knowledge and this book over and over.

Great snapshot!
Great snapshots of key Jaimini concepts! It clarified a lot of disorganized information I had on Jaimini. Good intro and amazing explanations of certain planet combinations.

Not the original source.
Respected Maharishi Jaimini would have worked for ages to arrive at 936 Jaimini sutras. The author copied pasted everything as it is including examples and "katapayadi" system knowledge given on page 28 onwards ( In fact, claiming to be author's) exactly as it is example by example. The page 28 onwards info is exactly as it is in the 1949 book ( page 8) , the words "da" "ra" ( dara) and "Bhagya" for instance. To save time, one can find the detailed book by Prof. B Suryanarain Rao ( author) and revised by his grandson Sir BV Raman, that was published in 1949, Bangalore, India. yes , the original book was written in 1949 freely available under archives that contains all the original source of this copy."Sri Jaiminisutras" and contains 219 pages.

Fundamentals explained Well
The author has explained Jaimini Fundamentals very well. I would call it, more towards research work. the limited chapters of Jaimini system available to mankind are structured well. From the Chara karaka scheme used (7 CK) I presume she has come from the system of Rangacharya ji's style and not from Sanjay Rath's style (8 CK). also the exceptions included in calculating pada reinforces the fact that K.N. Rao's style of Jaimini is also not being used. it is strictly towards Rangacharya ji only.I personally enjoyed the book and read it in one sitting (since I am already knowing Jaimini system basics). Argalas were explained well. Pinch of salt in that, if there is no planet in Argala formation there can not be obstriction to it (say no planet in 2nd but a planet is there in 12th). Also the special argala of 3 Malefics in 3rd create unobstructed argala was missing (I could not find it but if someone finda it and if it is already part of the book then I am sorry it can be called a wrong observation from my end and I could have skippeda page or2 then).Would have liked if Narayana/Sthir Dasa and Sthir Karakas were introduced at least. Since in one ofthe examples Venus was referred to as Vivah karaka planet (forWalt Disney if I recollect it right). All in all, its a good book for a beginner who wishes to have toddler steps in Jaimini system and a worth time spending book for someone who already knows the basics of system. Efforts of writing the book are appreciated.Regards

Easy to understand...
Nice book. It is penned in such a way that the beginners can understand the concept easily. We all are much familiar with Vimshottari dashas and Parashara system. But very few people know Jaimini system as well char dasha. Earlier I had tried to understand these both by some another sources, but in vein. This book made me easily understand the basics of Jaimini astrology and char dasha system. I found it quite interesting. No doubt, if you are good in Parashara system, it may become little bit difficult for you to learn Jaimini. But I must say that, this book is the better guide to make you familiar with it. Of course, everything depends upon the practice. When I applied basics described here on my own chart, some mysteries which were remained unsolved while using Parashara, get solved by Jaimini system. It was enough for me to attract towards Jaimini. Thanks for guiding us.
