HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
This story just gets better every time I read it. Jeremy and Reg are two of my favorite M/M characters ever. When 31 year old Rock superstar Jeremy Jameson steps into a seedy bar in Munds Park, Arizona it turns out to be the best thing to ever happen to him.Jeremy is not your typical "rock star"...there's no drugs, or scores of sexual exploits, or crazy publicity antics...he's quiet, a bit shy, and, most of all, lonely. When he starts up a conversation with bartender, Reggie Moore, he finds himself relaxed and engaged and having a great time. After closing down the bar, ending up on Reg's couch for the night, and a few more drinks an idea takes root: Reg would love to travel more and Jeremy is sick of going out on the road alone, or with women who don't understand it's not all premieres and glitzy events...so Jeremy offers Reg the opportunity to become Jeremy's pretend boyfriend for seven months of travel, companionship, and adventure while Jeremy plays his latest world tour dates.Reg isn't your typical bartender, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a degree in Accounting, but since an office job was killing him, he returned home to work and save enough money to go travel the world. Reg understands that Jeremy doesn't want a real boyfriend, but a friend, someone to spend with who wouldn't have ulterior motives or make constant demands. The offer is amazing but Reg makes two requests: ask again once Jeremy sobers up and to give him a year instead of seven months. It was sad that he felt he had to essentially hire that function out, but Reg wouldn’t complain. Jeremy was cool, his music was amazing, and touring the world would be a dream come true. “I hope so, man,” he said. “That’d be awesome.”“It would.” Jeremy nodded. “No more lonely nights. No more boring flights with nobody to talk to. No more girls who say they want to be with me when they don’t even like me, and all they really want is a leg up.” He sighed. “No more.”This story is hands down one of my favorite books of all time. I played a game with a friend where I was asked to name three books I would want with me if I was stranded on a deserted island, and Perfect Imperfections easily made the list. Why? Because, to me, it's perfect. There's no angst, no miscommunication, tons of humor, and hot sexy times. It's fluffy crack. For me the only thing that was missing was an audio version. If you asked me for a list of my favorite narrators you would absolutely find Charlie David on that list...so finding out he was doing to the narration for one of my favorite books?I hoped the narration would live up to the love I had for the book and wasn't surprised when Charlie David gives another absolutely wonderful performance! The characters, the humor, the sexiness - it all comes through perfectly. You want to know how I know this audio is fantastic? I immediately replayed the audio as soon as it finished the first time.Whether in print or in audio - this is FANTASTIC!The story is absolute fluff-tastic sweetness and cuteness, and when coupled with Charlie David's phenomenal performance, it's absolutely unforgettable. Perfect Imperfections...I love you!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

A Fun And Lovely Read
Cardeno C. is one of my favorite authors, and she certainly didn't let me down with her newest, "Perfect Imperfections".A story of a rock star born into a family of famous rockers and actresses (Jeremy) and a hunky, smart and sincere bartender (Reg) he meets while trying to get a taste of "real life", incognito. On a whim, Jeremy asks Reg to go with him, on tour, and pose as his gay boyfriend. Jeremy has had only a series of relationships with models and stars "engineered" to promote both of their careers, but lacking in intimacy and affection. He wants to use Reg as a buffer - once he's "spoken for", he won't need to partake in any more staged relationships, which are beginning to drive him mad, and leave him utterly alone and lonely. Reggie agrees and, well, it's no spoiler to say that the relationship works out really, really well. The couple, together, are just lovely. And their fumbling attempts to become lovers charming to watch. Reg not only shows Jeremy how to love (and boy does he learn well!), but helps to smooth out his entire life, ensuring that Jeremy is free to concentrate fully on music - and him. They are wonderful together. In fact, the cuddling and affection are actually better than the sex. But, then again, Cardeno C. is such a talented writer, it's like watching a master paint a landscape. The only reason I didn't give it the full five stars is that the ending didn't work for me. Cardeno C. normally writes powerful and moving endings. This one just seemed to peter out after a rather mild threat to the boys' future, with the HEA definitely in the cards. It wasn't particularly moving, nor was it powerful. It was rather a rather abrupt and rather soft landing. That's my only disappointment. This book has a lovely "feel" to it. It has a lightness and good-natured texture that made my day. No twisted angst, painful suffering or recriminations. Just a lonely boy (despite being the top-selling music act in America) learning how to love.It is, above all else, a really good read.

my new favourite!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian I Dig Good Books. I was gifted the kindle copy of this book in exchange for my review.Every time I read a new Cardeno C book, it becomes my favourite one. This is no exception. It has a beautifully love story, of getting to know someone before jumping into bed with them. It has witty one liners, humour throughout the book. It has angst and passion, it has sex and sorrow. Basically, it has everything, all wrapped up in a neat little package of 205 pages.I LOVED JJ and Reg, I really did. Their meeting was in the very first 3 pages was sweet. And that filtered through the whole book. Dont get me wrong, it is HOT in places, but Reg is such a sweet person, and he doesnt change in the book, at all. Once JJ and Reg make their decision for Reg to accompany JJ on tour, Reg looks after JJ, just like he did on their first meeting. JJ needs Reg, like NEEDS him, but JJ doesnt see it, not straight away anyway. The attraction of Reg to JJ was not immediate, no instalove here, but it creeps up on them both. JJ more so than Reg. AND I LOVED THAT! Its well over half way before Reg and JJ begins to truly discover each other, and its so beautifully written! It really is.As is usual for Cardeno C's work, there is no falling out, no major breakup/make up, no psycho ex. Its just a stunningly well written love story, that is my new CC favourite!Oh, and the Fleschlight never had it so good! PHEWEEE!And yes, Reg is the bomb :-)5 full stars.AUDIO REVIEWI was gifted the audio version of this book, in exchange for my review.I had the opportunity to review this book in audio form.Charlie. David. Narrates.Do I need to say more? The man is a genius at voices, emotions, story telling. He captures Reg's patience with JJ perfectly. He captures JJ's meltdown 's brilliantly. His portrayal of both men is perfect. He gets across all the emotions that these men have, in all the right places. Mr David's reading voice is deep and clear. His voices are easily defined, and makes listen king to a multi person conversation easy.I found myself reading this along side listening. Why?? No freaking idea. It's not something I've done before BUT it will be something I try again. Charlie David in my ear, with Cardeno C's work before me? A perfect way to spend the afternoon. This is not that first CC/David combination. And I certainly hope it won't be the last. I love them together!!5 Stars for the narration, making a full 5 stars in total.**same worded review will appear on Goodreads, amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and Audible.com**

Oh how I love me a dual PoV
Oh how I love me a dual PoV!I really liked Reggie and Jeremy from the start. They were easy to 'listen' to and they felt like old friends of mine. The writing style is comfortable and easy to read, I literally couldn't put it down.Jeremy, although the eldest, is a child in so many ways. He's been sheltered and pandered to his whole life. Reggie is like his counter balance. Evening him out and bringing him back from the edge of a tantrum or meltdown. It was sweet to watch.Reg is the bomb!I would love to read more from these boys.

Loved it
I really like Cardeno C's books and this one was sweet, long and extremely funny.James meets Reg at a bar and takes him on tour with him. That is essentially it.Reg's sense of humour and his ability to stand by James' side when the paparazzi are hounding them is very good. I loved the slow build up from just friends to more, and thought Cardeno C has done a very good job at that.If you are looking for a nice, long, humorous and not to angst ridden M/M novel that just makes you feel happy - this is it!

AMAZING!!!!!
Loved, loved Perfect Imperfections. Reg and JJ, so adorable and the perfect couple, so in tune with each other. Loved how Reg kept finding JJ just to stroke him or touch him, almost like tan extension of himself, beautifully written and just never wanted it to end. Already looking forward to reading it again. Well done Cardeno C you certainly know how to write a great story, liked it also that there were no really drama just two guys so into each other and finding that they were the right fit! Perfect! Looking forward to reading more of your books.

Really really enjoyed book.
I have read quite a few Rockstar books over the years and I have to say this is one of my favourites. The story isn't just about fame and fortune it's about finding yourself even if your in your thirties and meeting the one person who is meant just for you. Jeremy and Reg are great characters and I liked the bonus chapter at the end of the book.Recommended.
