DR Walk Behind Field & Brush Cutter Mower Wheel Clutch Drive Cable 16501 165011

This is a perfect replacement for an older style DR field and brush mower clutch cable (serial number less than 41000). When I called DR Power equipment I was told (after a LONG wait) that I would need the cable at $42 plus an adapter kit for $166. Lucky I found this one on Amazon. Still, it was a real PITA to replace due to poor design by DR. I have been riding and working on motorcycles for 60 years and they all had a clutch cable that did essentially the same thing but were a much simpler design and much easier to replace. The basic problem is that the engine end of the cable is underneath the mower and is very difficult to get to and disconnect.

More parts for my big field mower. DR Brushcutter. Parts for this company’s products are hard to find and the reason for that is many items have been discontinued. It’s just not the easiest thing to achieve.
