United Cutlery Mini Boot Knife
The knife came packaged nicely, in a box and wrapped up nice and tight. The string it came with to put around your neck was fine by all means, but I ended up taking it off and replacing with 550 paracord The knife was decently sharp out of the box, but I ended up sharpening it a bit myself. It took the edge pretty well, however, with AUS8 steel the edge doesn't stay sharp for a very long time. (Atleast being AUS8 it's real easy to sharpen up again to get back to your task.) The nice thing about this blade is that since its double edged you can cut for twice the amount of time. When one side gets dull..switch to the other. The serrations are ok too, not the best, but not mediocre at all. I've had the knife a couple weeks now and the serrations still haven't needed any sharpening. The sheath it comes in fits the knife perfectly as well. You will hear a noticably low click sound when the knife is in and the retention holds it in very well, so no worrying about having it fall out around your neck and jab you in the stomach. The knife can accomplish many small tasks around the house or garden, slicing bags etc..It's a decent knife for the money but It all depends what you want to use this knife for. If you want this knife as just a back up blade, or a concealable last option self defense knife, this knife will suit you fine. However, If blade size is no problem for you and you are looking for a very nice but cheap fixed blade for work around the house/garden I would suggest you take a look at Mora knives. Same 15 dollar price range but alot more bang for your buck in my opinion.

Great Little Knife!
The product was shipped to me as described. The box it came in was a little flimsy and cheap but I've seen the same off of store shelves. It was wrapped in plastic and slightly oiled when I opened it. The knife is small but that is exactly what I wanted. It fits in the sheath snugly and I don't have to worry about it falling out. I happen to like the string it came on. It's was already threaded for immediate use. I hung it around my neck and the string is soft and doesn't irritate. The knife is also very inconspicuous and comfortable to wear. It has a slight resistance in the sheath which is good but not too much to be burdensome. A good tug and it comes out. Te knife arrived sharp enough to cut throught the envelope it was sent it without a problem. If you want a super sharp knife then just sharpen it when you get it. The serrations are very well sharpened out of the box. The grip on the knife is slightly rubbery and overall feels good to hold. It also has a nice weight to it. Now, being a small knife, it is great for small tasks. You will not get a full grip on it. However, you can hold it tight and it won't slip. This is perfect for a small utility knife or as a last ditch knife for self defense. For the price, I ordered two of them and now that I have them I will definitely order more for the car, my camping or hiking bags, etc. Because they are small, they are perfectly legal everywhere. I can definitely see myself order about 6 more to stash around work, the house, car, and travel bags. Also, since they are so cheap, you can afford to lose them and won't feel bad about actually using them on tough stuff. Like I said, it's small, but well built and useful. If you are looking for a neck knife, small utility knife, boot knife, etc I would definitely recommend these little guys!

Great Back-up Weapon for the Price
This is a small cheap knife, but it fits it's job just perfectly. I'm usually not in full uniform, and have always been able to keep a small push-dagger in my dress shoes as a back-up weapon. But about once a month I'm in full uniform and I have always liked having a boot knife for when stuff goes bad and you end up locked into a full grapple (or God forbid the bad guy gets a full mount) and you can't reach your primary weapon. My issue with most boot knives is that you can't reach them unless your uniform pants are bloused; but the built-in shoelace holes allow you to carry this knife lower on your boot and it also doesn't have a button strap. This allows the knife to be more accessible without having to do the fine motor skills of pulling your uniform pants up to reach it; or having to try to unsnap it in the middle of an assault.I wouldn't take this small knife on a camping trip or use it as a primary knife; but for me this would be a last ditch back-up weapon, and that only needs to be something that is small and accessible for when I can't reach my primary weapon (and this seems to live up to that so far). For the price and how well it works as a back-up weapon, I give it a 5 star.

Good, but falls out of sheath after less than a year of use.
I have bought three of these knives. After first receiving it. Fell in love and bought one for each of my daughters to wear so they would have a weapon handy under their shirts if needed. My first one was purchased over a year ago. Most reviewers comment on theirs arriving sharp but mine couldn't cut a single strand of hair or a single piece of paper. I had to sharpen all of mine before they could be used. I love how easy they were to wear around my neck and conceal under my shirt. Only problem is that after a few months of use they fall out of the sheath. If you don't plan to be using yours a lot -taking it in and out of the sheath -then it may work for you. I used mine on the job opening boxes to do inventory when orders arrive and out at remote sites. In addition to having it as a concealed weapon if needed. So now I am back in the market to look for another knife that will not wear out so quickly, I lost mine over the summer on job and couldn't find it even though I back tracked to all remote sites that I traveled that day. So sad, but now I have to find one that is better.

Fell out of the sheath during a car accident, luckily nobody was injured.I had it hanging from my rear view mirror. The knife is good though, and sheath is pretty solid but couldn't stand up to that amount of force.

recht schick
wenn auch sehr klein. Klar stehe die Maße da, aber ist doch recht winzig. Nicht sehr scharf, dafür aber sehr spitz. Ist halt eine kleiner Dolch. Nettes kleines Tool trotzdem.
