I needed this to season my BBQ before cooking. The brush is essentially a cotton swap, so it coats the BBQ grates much better that a normal BBQ brush. It will occasionally shed a fiber from the cotton, but nothing that would wreck a meal. My only complaint is that the cover just sits on top of the brusk and reservoir bowl. It does not seal. It would be better to have the cover seal so that nothing spills will carrying it in and out to the BBQ!

Although a good idea, the mechanism to put oil on brush was just a spring and a piece of plastic with holes in it that you push down to get the brush oiled. It was difficult to put together because you have to put the spring in just the right place. Also when using the brush to oil pans the bristles tended to spread out and flatten. Also the lid fits very loosely on top of the oil container. Not a tight seal.

I like using this instead of spray on oils for my skillet, crockpot or cookie sheets. It is a little small- so not much oil will be in the reservoir. This means you must refill it more often.

I bought this to make Takoyaki. It works as advertised. I previously bought a wood and metal one but that one kept slipping. This one stays in place and the little oil cup is convenient. Does the job and would buy again.

We bought this to use in our takoyaki pan and it worked perfect.
