Lovely interviews of artists and a great view of their work.The Knox Martin interview is eye opening.

Mostly tired, stale visuals
A rather dreary, depressing (and never-ending) assortment.(2 or 3 welcome exceptions include paintings by Henry Finkelstein and Ron Landfield)But most could have been painted the same way 90 years ago.

Like to read the inside story of other painters
Liked this book so much when I borrowed it from the library that I bought two copies. Mailed one away to a colleague and it was already packaged for the post office. Pretty clever, huh.

Brings back memories
I studied at the league as this book was being written. Naomi Campbell discussed a few of my classmates work and her artistic method and insights are invaluable.
