Works for my aging chihuahua
When my 9 year old male chihuahua began to develop cataracts, I applied these drops to prevent his eyes from developing into tiny cotton balls. (The thought of a blind chihuahua was horrifying!) After routinely applying these drops once per day for 6 months, he no longer ran into the corners of the house and his eyes appeared to be more transparent. To current date, I've consistently applied these drops once per day for 2 1/2 years, and his cataracts seem to have maintained the improved condition noted around the 6-month mark of application. Naturally, I was hoping his cataracts would completely "melt like ice," but I'm satisfied with his significantly improved vision and enhanced quality of life. All in all, I'd say this is a great alternative to cataract surgery for canines which is not only costly, but may pose serious risks.Important Tip:To limit oxidation of product, keep refrigerated in box (protected from light), but allow vial to come to room temperature just before application.

excellent product
I have been using these eye drops for over a year. Because of it my vision is considerably better (my dog as well). Prior to using brite eyes I needed glasses to drive and watch TV. This is no longer the case but it doesn't seem to be accumulative because if I stop my eyes revert back to the way they were. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is I need to continue using indefinitely if I want to see well.

Three Stars
I was expecting to clear off my red eyes and it didn't. Just lubricate them.

Dry itchy eyes
This is very good for soothing and healing dry itchy eyes as it contains antioxidant N-acetyl-carnosine and two lubricants. From the wiseGEEK web site: "The ability of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose to absorb water is what has led to one of its most common uses — as a substitute for human eye tear-film. When this substance is added to eye drops or other ophthalmologic aids, it increases the amount of time the drops spend on the cornea by absorbing the water that is present and preventing early evaporation. Theoretically, the longer a lubricant substance stays on an eye, the less irritation suffered. Solutions containing 2% hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose are typically used during orbital surgery to protect the corneas."

Two Stars
My husband doesn't like them because they sting his eyes. I don't think I will order them again.

Great stuff- be consistant with it & it will improve your sight!
Works great- best stuff for cataracts so far. Trying to find a combination of things to make removal even faster. I am going to try EDTA with it to see if it will work even faster
