The shielding in this cable IS NOT braided! I got this to use on an RC aircraft, it may work for audio/video work and stuff like that, or even as the antenna of a cell phone (you know, where nothing crashes to earth if there's a problem), but it's NOT safe to use on the control system of an AIRCRAFT, you would be stupid to risk it. Please note this in the item description amazon (note that it's not braided), the only time I've ever received non-braided shield cable was when I specifically ordered it, braiding the shielded is the common way it's done and increases performance by an order of magnitude on all types of RG coax.

I wish I knew what "RG-174 Coaxial Cable" was before I ordered it. It is really thin. I now must find "F Connectors" that will fit the cable. My project is set way back and I will attempt to find a use for this cable. Suggestion; Comparison Photos should alleviate this type of problem. The thin cable is the RG-174.

Excellent Cable at a great price. Abundant copper uniform shield and no need to unbraid when making connections.

Big supply for use inside assemblies - should be good for a long time.
