Loot is the right word
As one gentleman rightly pointed out. This is not Pavitram made of three Durban grasses of equal length and a specific number of knots given to it to make the shape of a ring so that it could be worn in ring finger to perform the tarpana rituals. This is single knotted Kisha grass normally called koorcham being sold as pavitram. It's an outright loot on faith of individuals in the name of rituals.
