This is a lovely chess set! This item is very giftable! It is intriguing, with a fascinating history behind the Lewis Chessman!!SO VERY GLAD I PURCHASED IT!!! In my home it will be more for display than for play. (I have a large chess set that meets my playing needs due to arthritic hands.)Get it; you won’t regret it!! It’s charming!!!

This is beautifully made but read the description because it is only 9”. That’s the same size as a dinner plate. For the cost being $95 with tax I think this is overpriced for how small this chess game is. But my son was happy with it and loves it.

The look on my husband's face when he opened this as his Christmas gift told me I'd finally found him a perfect gift after all our years together. The details on the pieces are striking, and the weight is right. He and our son use it daily, as it doesn't take up a lot of room and is easy to keep out. The only downside is that our little one has taken to biting his shield when play fighting.

This chess board is so beautiful and arrived faster than anticipated. The pieces are so adorable and the whole board has a nice vintage sort of feel. If you can, purchase one for any chess lover!

The set is good quality and looks good but due to the packing being sub par my order arrived broken, I’m trying to glue it back together strictly because I don’t want to take the time to send it back and wait for that process

it is the tiniest of all chess sets. So incredibly tiny that you can't fit all the pieces on it without all of them falling off.. It is a great decoration though.

This set is the best i have seen so far. It was amazing to find something that represented a part of our families' heritage. the board is very well made and makes a great table decoration and the pieces are made to look old and unique. I recommend this board to any who love chest and enjoy the Celtic history.

This is a complete scam because no one will pay to have it returned to England, they make a sale. They say the board is 9 inches so you get out your ruler and 9 inches doesn't look so bad. What they fail to say is the nine inch measurement is on the diagonal, or even with the product in the box! The only reason you would buy this set is as a collectors item; but it fails that category too because the pieces are so small no one can see the detail. The pawns are the size of my little fingernail. Not my little finger! the finger nail!
