Take appropriate care, and enjoy!
This pool was great this summer. I could do four strokes before I hit the wall :) Definitely big enough for teens and good for younger too. Need a better ladder (thought I was going to die everytime I stepped on that thing) ... ok so now for the details: First, setup is critical I think. I bought the 24x12, and leveled out a 30x15 area with a laser level, then put 2 inches of sand down. That got it level within a 1/2 inch across the entire area. The posts NEED to be suppported by a large piece of concrete or plywood. I used pressure treated plywood, and that worked well, but don't cut them too small, they need to be 2x2 ft. As the pool fills up they will spread and where you thought the polls would end up, may not be! And there is NO adjusting once the water is in. We heard of someone who tried to adjust with a 1/4 of the water in, and bent their frame and ruined the set. I put the included tarp down (under the plywood pads of course), and that worked well. Second, I bought the saltwater sand filter system. Easy care. I put sand in the filter, salt in the pool and didn't add anything else all year (according to all the manuals specifications). One day the pool turned cloudy, I put it in "boost" mode for 3 days, and it returned to clear for the next month and a 1/2. Backwashing is part of maintenance and it is easy to do ... follow the manual, but you'll probably want a 25-40 ft hose to attach to the drain point. Finally, I decided to take this down every year (thinking it will help the liner to not be in the weather all year long). It's easier to set up. Use WD40 to spray inside poll loops (pool loops for poles) to get them out. The pressure treated plywood may need to be replaced each year. I had to completely disassemble the filter & pump and clean everything out. It took about 3 full days to drain with a garden hose. I had to use a 16 gallon shop vac to get the last inch which took a while too. So all in all, probably 2 full days of work to disassemble, clean, and dry everything.

Perfect for for a summer
We bought this pool in 2018, and can give a thorough review. We had 4 people to assemble and we had it up and filling within about 4 hours. We had no issues with assembly, parts, or leaks. The ladder was flimsy, and we upgraded immediately. The filter was not strong enough for the size, which seems to be the norm for intex, so we bought a larger saltwater system. The first summer went well with the upgrades we made. Our issues began immediately after that. The protective coating on the upper pool metal brackets, worked well on the exterior, however, the salt water that got into the supports at the joints started to rust/weaken them from the inside out. We tried to buy replacement parts from intex, but the model was no longer being made. We were determined to use it another summer regardless, so we had a friend weld parts of metal to use in place of one that snapped on the side. The corners continued to rust but held up. So we did get another summer of fun out if it.The third summer, the liner was still perfect, but the metal was shot.Intex is perfect for a summer or two of fun. With the cost if upgrades, I don’t feel like we got our money worth.

Great pool
This is a great pool for a great price. All our family and friends are extremely impressed as are we. We did have 1 major issue. The liner was delivered with 4 major holes in it. I'm assuming we just received a defected box. It was frustrating because we didn't figure it out till we started pouring water into it, thank goodness we checked it before we left to run errands. The reason I'm giving this company 4 stars is because I called them, sent them my purchase form and the very next day they shipped out a new liner! No questions asked, no problems no hassles! We are extremely impressed with the amazing Customer service and item! Can't wait for the summer to come so we can enjoy this amazing pool! I highly recommend the, product AND the company!

This is an AWESOME POOL!
Update: January 2014 - I live in Florida so the pool stays up during the winter. The use of the salt/sand pump went down to only a couple of hours twice a week to keep the water clean. No swimmers mind you because the water is a bit chilly even here in Florida! The pump has stopped "pumping"! I have taken the entire pump apart and performed maintenance on the whole system. Once it is together all it will do is hummm but not pumping action or sanitation of the water. I went onto the INTEX website and it is very hard to find information about the warranty but from what I received it the pump has a 2 year warranty (so I should be good through June 2016). I tried to call but ended up putting in an email request for information direction on the website. Now I'm waiting to see what happens - will keep you posted!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Original Review Below~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Let me start out with - This is an AWESOME POOL! I advise anyone who wants to buy this pool to please read the reviews and go and watch video on youtube to better understand what you are getting.I purchased the 12x24 a couple of weeks ago after doing all of my research. The primary reason for going with this pool is the saltwater system and price. I ordered this using amazon and a 3rd party (in the swim) and things went smoothly from the order to the delivery. The day after I ordered the pool I received a call from the shipping (freight) company to coordinate the delivery. We settled on a date/time and everything arrived as planned (on a semi truck no less). You only get "curb side" delivery but a nice tip will help get it into your garage. NOTE: It is shipped in one big box on a wooden pallet - To move it around just open the outer box and you will find 2 easier to manage boxes inside (1 of 2 and 2 of 2).After reading all the advise on making sure the ground is level I decided to hire someone to bring in some fill dirt and laser level the area where the pool would go. This was a great investment because they got the ground within a 1/2 inch of level once the pool was setup and filled. If you are off by even a small amount it makes a big difference! This was around a $900 investment.Next - The setup manual and videos from INTEX will tell you that 2 people can put this pool up in 60-90 minutes! This is a joke! It took two adult men and one of our kids an entire day to get it up and ready for water. We started our project at 8 a.m. and we started filling it with water around 4:30 that same afternoon. We took a couple of breaks along the way but be prepared to spend some time working on this!Lay everything out first! Make sure you know where all your items are and it will help with the process. We un-boxed everything and put items where we could easily get to them. This really helps! Also - we added the black ground weed fabric under the blue underlay they include with the pool. This was another $50 investment but again worth it!Here is another bit of advise! Nowhere does it tell you that you need to put the pool supports on something (like concrete or pressure treated wood) We purchased the 16x16 blocks at a big box store ($3.20/each) and for this size pool you need 18 so another $58! Also you will need to go to a pool store and buy your salt and silica sand. For this pool you need 210 lbs of salt and 55 lbs of silica sand (salt = $8/bag (40lbs) and sand = $10/bag (50lbs) adding another $70 to the bill! Now it is time to put the water in the pool! I live in the country and on a well so the water only cost me the electricity to pump it to the surface. This pool holds almost 9000 gallons of water when filled to the 90% line so you can figure out how much it will run you to fill it up. You can also call your local fire department or a local company that will bring a truck of water to your home. Using the hose it took us most of a day to fill it up.Put the pump and saltwater system together. This is a lot of fun :) Watch some youtube videos to get an idea of what you are doing. Bring the manual out to the pool and just start working on it. It was kind of like putting legos together and kind of fun. Follow all the instructions for getting the sand level and washed and kick the system on for about 24 hours. Next thing you know you will have some awesome blue water. You cannot beat a saltwater system! No more red burning eyes! When you are filling the pool don't freak out about the long sides bowing inward. This is normal! Once the pool is almost full (about 4-6 inches to the top) the sides will "pop" out and become straight. The corner elbows will become flexible and everything will look like you expect it to look.So if you are keeping track of my bill here is the grand total! $2078 Sticker shock? Nope, worth every penny! Now add the new pavers around the pool, tropical landscaping, new patio furniture, fire pit, lights and wireless speaker in the palm trees! My little resort paradise in Florida!
