Finally! Problem solved!
I have created a small suitcase kit for playing in an acoustic trio, and the 10-inch snare I use can never deliver a nice rim-click—it's just too small. I've used all kinds of mounts for three different Jam Blocks (blue, red and purple), mostly mounting them to my hi-hat stand, but it has never felt right for playing. I tried a Rim-Riser (no increase in volume whatsoever) and other DIY solutions, but this simple piece of hardware, with its three separate points of adjustment, turned out to be the way to go. I chose the red Jam Block as my rim-click substitute, and now I have the right mount to position it perfectly. I'm using this clamp on the bottom rim of my snare, so that the Jam Block can be positioned a little higher than the top rim. It gives me an effortless rim-click, nice and loud, and right where it's most natural for playing.

Sturdy, fixed angle 30 degrees
Very sturdy, well made. I wish the slope (front/back) was closer to flat. You can rotate left right, but slope is fixed at about 30 degrees towards you (relative to the rim).For me I also miss/was spoiled at how central my cowbell was on my kick formerly. Will be opting for something else I think that will allow it to be more central.Another note I didn’t think of initially. Mounting tambourines will of course jingle when the drum is struck (doh!)Clamp is sturdy; it is a screw, not a spring as I mistakenly assumed. Well made, just not quite what I’m looking for.

This works better than I had anticipated for holding a cowbell or jam block on the rim of a floor tom or other drum. It is rock solid, and doesn't move.
