I got this for my daughter and she is still getting good use from it. It has a good assortment of different types of art supplies and they are of good quality. I like that it comes with pastels instead of crayons. I got two more for gifts for other kids and they were enjoyed. The case can get scratched up but after years it is still useful.

Se rajó con el tiempo la madera. Desde el día uno se despegó el plástico dónde se guardan los lápices de la manera porque solo tenía un poco de pega atrás. Me divertí con los pasteles. Los marcadores se les acaba rápido la tinta. Los lápices son muy buenos. Hay tonos suaves y fuertes. El pastel mancha demasiado.

A gift for our 6 year old granddaughter and aspiring artist. She was very, very excited with all the options.

Got this for my 6 y.o. nephew because he LOVES to color. He really liked it and has enough for ages of coloring fun now.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with this purchase. I rely heavily on reviews and I researched quite thoroughly before purchasing...hoping that this would prove to be a better set than the less expensive brands. When the product arrived a corner was chipped from the case, which considering how much bubble wrap was around it, didn't seem to make any sense. It appeared that the product was wrapped and shipped with the chip already there...quality control issue? I didn't worry about that too much thinking that eventually the case would get dinged up anyway. My daughter opened the gift for her birthday to find that the inside piece had completely broken from the wooden exterior. She was upset, asking why her birthday present was already broken. Undeterred I pulled out the glue gun and reattached the organizer. I was trying to be optimistic about the purchase, but at the end of the evening my daughter brought the kit to me and we realized that one of the hinges was completely stripped out and not holding the case together. She had opened the case a total of two different times...I expected the hinge to hold up longer than that. I really was excited for this gift, but both my daughters excitement and my own were all but gone by the end of her birthday. The art products seem decent, but for the price I would think that a decent case could accompany them. Too bad.

Seems like a solid set. Not overdone, but adequate for my first grader and Pre-K kids, and their play date friends.

Got this for my 10 year old for Christmas and she has used it often since. Not sure if it would be same quality as a serious artist would need, probably not, but allows a young budding artist to try out different medium. She takes this with her on trips, overnighters, uses when she is quietly working in her room. Its a big case, so need a space to spread out. I'm happy I got her this gift.

My daughter wanted a boxed art set like this. I read reviews of many brands- almost all of them had reviews complaining of really really poor quality art supplies. I got this one because more people seemed satisfied with it, and Faber Castell does make very nice art supplies. The art supplies are pretty good and my daughter likes them, but the watercolor pencils ONLY work as regular colored pencils- the paintbrush is useless with them. Nevertheless, my daughter is very happy with this set. The wooden box is beautiful and the hardware works well, but it would be even nicer if it had a carry handle.
