Love my Shelf. It was easy to install. Priced very competitively. Pistol and ammo fits nicely.

Love it. I have different styles of wall shelves and this blends in well.. just wish it came in black..

What can I say? This was the best and the worst valentines gift ever. The product is awesome, sturdy, serves the purposes and looks very nice. The installation was a nightmare. Nothing wrong with the product, but consider nature of the product, the shelf is rather heavy. So you need long and big screws /anchors to go into the wall to make sure they will hold the shelf. So we decided to ou the shelf right by the entrance door.hahahahah....apparently right after the drywall, we have concrete, so obviously on the first day we couldn't install. Then we had to buy drill fr home depot to drill through the wall, then home depot bought anchors were not long enough and the shelf when hanging would still feel very wobbly, then another round of going shopping to home depot and trying to buy another set of anchors for concrete wall and screws to hang the shelf.then another. The whole song and dance around this shelf took my husband around 1 month, this was exhausting. Don't get me wrong, she shelf is great, but if you're not mentally prepared for the struggles to install it, you be regretting the purchase. Well, one month later the shelf ia finally therr and sturdy and solid. My husband loves it, but God it took a lot of nerves to install. And at certain point i thought we are on the verge of mental breakdown

Bought this for my husband. He read the instructions, which said the holes for the shelf are 16” on center. So we find our placement, he uses a stud finder to make sure he drills into studs, uses the enclosed template, and double-checks measurements at 16”. He goes to screw in the shelf and drills in the first screw which came with the shelf. First side in, no problem. Second side doesn’t line up. So he goes to back the first screw out by reversing the drill. The screw snaps in half leaving half in the wall. He turns the shelf over and measures the distance between holes at 15 3/4” apart.My husband will figure out a way to make this work because he does that. But we definitely cannot use the sub-par screws that came with the shelf unless we want to risk the shelf falling off the wall if a screw snaps. And he will have to find a cross-brace in the wall to screw into since 15 3/4 doesn’t meet the standard measure of 16” between two studs or drill new holes in the shelf (which is what he did). Once items are in and on the shelf, the added weight will make using only anchors a danger of breaking drywall.As an added bonus, the screw that broke in the wall snapped again when he tried to pull it out with pliers. And we are now stuck with an embedded screw. I’m not sure what metal these screws are fabricated from but it’s definitely not metal sufficient to hold up shelving. It’s soft and breaks with any pressure. My husband replaced the screws with stronger, longer steel screws.After installation, the magnet doesn’t unlatch the compartment unless you first push up on the lower compartment. It does not just slide open when the magnet is passed over it like the video shows. The light for inside also doesn’t work but it may just need a new battery.To summarize, the shelf doesn’t look bad once installed but it definitely is not a purchase I will make again.

When I set the shelf up, it was great it worked. I left it there for a while because I hadn’t gotten my weapon for downstairs yet. When I received my weapon and I put it into the shelf, the shelf would not close. It just came down it would not stay closed, even if I move the magnet around and try different positions. The heaviness of the weapon made it come down it couldn’t stay closed.

Pros:It looks nice once installedCons:The included hardware is way to weak, luckily I had some lag bolts that fit.The holes are very close to the inner edges, so it's difficult to get the hardware in.When I got it there were very lite scratches on the top where the magnet sits. (Returned, repacked, and re-sold maybe?)There were 2 or 3 very small cracks in the finish at the seams.The were no instructions for use. Yes, I know, magnet in the right spot, click, push, open. But nothing on the magnet in the left side of the shelf.The "+" and "-" signs printed on the battery case for the LED were backwards.Even with 1/4" x 3" lag bolts drove in with an impact driver, there is still a little bit of wobble. There just is not a large enough surface area on the back of the shelf to hold it against the wall tight with how heavy it is.For the price, it's not terrible, but I would have rather spent more for something better.

Secret shelf is amazing! Priced right solid wood easy to install and holds my possessions just fine. Comes with a solid magnet for opening of the shelf. The magnet is easy to hide as well. All in out I'm happy with it and have only one suggestion and that's to buy better screws (NO BIGGIE) CHEERS!!
