Can't beat these
Best quality of rivets I have found. These work perfectly in my projects, great size availability, good metal color selection and a good price.

Reliable and Beautiful - Dress up any project with these with ease!
These are great quality. Every one is easily set and none are ever wasted. If you've used rivets as much as I have you would appreciate that last statement. It's all in the cap. If the cap does not fit and adhere properly then you have to pull them out and start with a new one, all the while hoping that you don't destroy your project.

"Practice Makes For Perfection". I used these rivets to make modifications to a cordless drill holster, that I wasn't using and turned it into my Fiskers axe holster. It's funny because I had no problems with installing 7 rivets on the holster, repositioning the belt loop, but when I was making a new axe blade cover I ran into problems with the rivets bending sideways. After ruining 3 or 4 rivets I found two answers to my problems. First make sure you have a minimum of 1/32" longer rivet than the leather combined thickness. (Too long will cause problems too). Second, make sure the hole you make is a snug fit with the rivet, and of course use the correct setter. When striking the rivet with your hammer and setter, assure that you are holding the setter as vertical as possible and use a few light taps as apposed to hard hits. I am by no means an expert on Tandy rivets but so far I have had good results with these medium size ones. It's also a lot of fun! I order this item through Amazon from StecksStore and received the rivets and my rivet setter two days before the promised date. Right on! I would give another star if there were some simple instructions.

Extremely useful
I used these to secure nylon-web handle straps to shopping bags with awful handles. The bags themselves were of good quality, while the straps were junk and tore apart easily. I tried crimping one or two of these down with a hammer and a couple of small steel plates, but found a locking vice-grip plier to be far better-suited without specialty tools. Four of these rivets attach each strap end to the bags, and it's very strong. I now have to convince the checkout clerks at my local grocery stores that the bags can carry more weight than they're used to packing into them. A couple of the clerks have even noticed my modification, commenting on them before I've explained it. A bag was once filled with over 15 canned goods and the riveted handles help up just fine, while the previous handles couldn't possibly have carried just a third of the weight. Just four rivets at each end, with no sewing involved.

Great, sturdy rivets!
Purchased these after a failure of some cheap rivets that I used on about a dozen projects before I realized I could tear the rivets apart by hand. So these steel rivets are much more appropriate for my dog collars. There is definitely no pulling these apart when they are set correctly. One small issue is that I didnt have a Tandy press, and on my press the 8mm die would leave crescent marks along the outside of the cap. I took a pic so you can see it is just marginally larger than an 8mm die. I had to switch to the 9mm die, even though the listing says they are 8mm. I noticed in the listing it mentions specific setters with Tandy part numbers so those probably are an exact fit. Just FYI. Overall super satisfied and well worth the extra couple bucks to have a quality product!
