Polar Active Ice system works great after having Achilles rupture repair surgery. Also ordered the wrong size foot pad and reached out to Polar via email and they had me the correct size within a day!!! System is very easy to use! I have some of the gel packs you freeze and add 3 of those to the water and temps stay cold through the night. Highly recommend this to anyone needing cold therapy after a surgery!

I purchased this product for use after my rcent foot surgery. The product is great. It made it so much easier to keep the swelling down. I really think the design is great and the fact that you can use frozen waterbottles in place of loose ice and that you can also purchase attachments for other areas such as shoulders and back. It also is so quiet I had to check to see if it was running. Another great feature is being able to program it for off and on at scheduled intervals. I would definitely recommend this product.

I don’t usually write reviews, but the Polar Active Ice 3.0 deserves all the praise. This was great for my foot surgery recovery. I had one for my knee before and knew I needed one for my foot. Now I’ll be using it for my knee. Having the Ice Machine allows you to have the base for any type of therapy you need.

This has worked well on my total knee replacement. Water stays cold for half a day or longer. Timer/comtroller is a great convenience except that it is poorly located between the wall plug and the unit itself. This location means one has to struggle to locate the unit someplace close to injury, outlet and your hands. Would be much more effective (although it would admittedly require more wiring expense) to have controller and the power line independent of one another. Or better yet insert a blue tooth control unit and allow the user to control from a phone app. If it can be done with electric blankets, surely it can be done for this unit.
