Excellent book that will surely boost my learning
I have read several of Peter Hollins books and they are so insightful, valuable and well written, that I will keep on reading him and be expectant of his new releases.Totally recommend the book and Peter as an author.

Short, useful tips. Not the most comprehensive
Very consice summary of tips and tricks. I'm not sure if the title is representative of the content. The content of the book had more to do with developing methods to increase the ability to retain new information and more comprehensively rather than the how quickly we can acquire skills and knowledge. I like that it wasn't long and boring, and the fact that it summarized precious research from prominent figures on the topic in very brief ways.

hacks for retrieval
After a first read, book taught me importance of interacting with material. Reading it made it way more important than just hearing it in a pass-by situation

Not really Rapid
The book does have valuable study tips for those who are going back to school to explore a 2nd career or degree. If you are looking for "faster" learning techniques, most of the techniques still require you to stop or slow down in reading and ask yourself questions or rephrase concepts in simple terms with pictures or diagrams.Overall, nothing much new.

The PROMPT technique!
This is probably one of the best books I've read in the past several years. Especially chapter 3 - Reading 2.0. The author explains how you should consider certain factors and evaluate resources based these factors. This technique will help you determine and realize just how much misinformation there is in the world today.I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to increase their level of comprehension and awareness.

it is clear, concise and very useful
I purchased a kindle edition of Rapid Knowledge Acquisition for myself a week ago and upon finishing it I immediately bought a copy for my granddaughter who is a sophomore in college. I have spent many years on one side of the lectern or the other and am thrilled that such a clear reference to learning is available.

Concise Exploration of Topic
I enjoyed the adventure, especially the end-of-chapter summaries. Would have loved more exercises, tips/tricks to hone in on specific learning skills.
