Extremely useful for a professional photographer who has to haul a lot of equipment
This lens pen is just what I need in a compact, easy-to-carry product. I am a photographer who has to carry a lot of gear outside. Having something compact and light is essential. One side is a brush to get rid of fine and large particles of material from the lens. The other side is to remove oils (e.g. fingerprints) and is made of a fine material that has a carbon dust cleaning solution embedded in it.The first three to five uses can be a bit frustrating as this carbon dust is quite heavy and will actually leave a slight residue on the lens. In this case I just used the brush first, the carbon cleaner second, and then finished up with the brush again to remove any extra carbon. I had no artifacts in my photos at all. After the initial break-in period this lens pen performs flawlessly. The pen is close to 4 inches long (without the brush extended) and about 3/4 inches wide. Its actually very compact and light. It has a tab on the cap to be able to secure it while its in a pocket, just like a regular pen. The brush is about an inch long and is used by extending it out of the end of the pen. It adds about an inch of length when extended. The carbon cleaner is covered by a cap which is screwed off in order to expose the cleaning surface. I wish there was a spot to put this cap while using the carbon cleaning side. Its the only long term con to this pen.Pros:*Light*Compact*Cleans lenses well*Easy to carry in pocket*CheapCons:*Carbon dust residue for first 3-5 uses.(-1/4 star)*Cap has no place to be put on the pen while using it. (-1/4 star)Overall 4.5/5 (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 star ratingIf you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Tidy, one-piece design
I got this LensPen when I purchased an OM-D E-M10 camera a month ago and have not had a chance to use it yet. I love the styling and the one-piece design, and it looks like a quality product that I'll be glad I have on hand.

Non toxic great product.
If you use binoculars, cameras, than this is a great non toxic product for us. Company claims it to be non toxic. I hope it's correct. Using it for some time now and it works like perfect. Please do read all the instructions before using this product. There are some correct steps how to use it otherwise you will end up damaging your lens.

Beware, little to no cleaner in the pen, possible knock-off.
I bought this expecting a graphene cleaner on the cleaning side but there is nothing at all coming out of the pen. Basically this just rubs smudges around. I suspect it might be a knock-off, as ive never had a problem with the excellent LensPen brand.

Highly recommend. Gets spots that lens spray and microfiber does not.
THIS is awesome. I had a lens that hadn't been cleaned for some time that was leaving matter stuck on the lens. I cleaned it with a liquid lens spray and microfiber cloth but the matter stayed there. I let it dry and blew it with air. Then, this lens pen was able to wipe it off with a few circular rotations. This is great for routine lens brush and cleaning

Defective/Greasy lens pen
I've ordered 5 lens pens over the last couple years from various vendors. This is the first time I've been disappointed. The lens cleaning/oil removing end actually smears some kind of greasy film all over the lens. Using this is seriously counter productive and I'm currently on a trip without anything to properly clean my lens. Buy a lens pen, they are awesome devices, just consider picking a different model or vendor than I did. Maybe it was a fluke that mine is nasty, but I'm going to try a different amazon item next time to be safe.

and they are easy to carry
They work, they don't damage lenses if changed about every six months of daily use (won't damage them, just don't work very well any more), and they are easy to carry. Very nice to have in the field. Look around for price breaks on "branded" products (i.e., "Nikon" labeled Lens Pen, just read the ad carefully to make sure it really is from Lens Pen.) Phil

For low end optics this lenspen a great choice, but if you have high end optics I would suggest going with what they suggest.
The lens pen works very well. The brush tucks away nicely when not needed. The only issue I have is that when cleaning using the cleaning plunger, the plunger can leave swirls and even leaves extra graphite which cannot be removed with the brush. I had to purchase a can of air for cleaning keyboards to use to blow the graphite dust off.
