This is liquid gold. It’s expensive but given how much butter is reduced when it’s clarified and browned the price isn’t as bad as it first seems. I have reduced mobility and it’s hard to spend much time in the kitchen any more, much as I miss it. I’m now getting prepared meals delivered and I’m find this a great way to finish many of them, as some are somewhat lacking in the touch that makes a great meal - things such as quality olive oil, balsamic vinegar, chopped fresh herbs and in this case browned butter. The jar is shelf stable even after opening due to the milk solids being removed when it’s clarified to make ghee and the flavor is exquisite as a finishing touch to seafood, especially salmon. It’s also great spread on bread. I recommend this highly. 5 stars

Something you don't want to try. Ghee with a slightly toasty flavor and color to match. Evenly thick with a faintly grainy texture and a promise that you'll be in the Spring Sunrise 12-Step Ghee program if you click Purchase. Yep, pretty delicious. Pair this with something pleasantly bland like porridge or oatmeal, where the ghee will shine unopposed, and you're probably done-for. Now, addictions aren't always bad things, but they ARE expensive. Ghee, haughty Indian butter goddess that she is, does not care for the whinings of mortal budgets. And this is no exception. But it is good stuff. So, you might find it worth it as a monthly tithe. Sunrise did a great job on this, but don't say I didn't warn you from the 12-Step meeting.

So glad I got to try this because I love a 1/4 teaspoon in my coffee! I wanted more and decided to go straight to the company - glad I did because I got 2x the amount for the same price!!

Let me preface this by saying I have used other brands of brown butter. Upon opening the jar, the smell of burnt butter was overwhelming. This product is so bitter and burnt tasting it is unusable. As if that’s not bad enough, the jar had a large air bubble, causing it to be only about 2/3 full. Maybe this is a benefit. 😀 No replacement or refund available, so it’s a waste of money.
