Benji's Very Own Christmas Story

I haven't heard of this Christmas special, but then again it came out a very longtime ago.. The dog in this movie short I believe is Benjean the daughter of the famous "Benji" who was a beloved animal actor from the 1960's- the mid 1970's. To be honest the story of Christmas and Santa, the Elf's and kinda took up most of the program. I thought the writer's would have composed a better Christmas story to sell the Benji image? Then again, every producer think's differently and the budget is important when working on a project such as this one.

In this Benji movie you will visit Santa's village in A differnt country with Cindy and her housekeeper! This is A great family Christmas movie!

Love this movie as a kid

I remembered enjoying the Benji shows from the 1970's and 1980's, and thought my 6-year old daughter would enjoy the Christmas special. We were both disappointed. First, it was a very short film, and second, Benji is just a prop throughout the story, as he doesn't do anything except be carried around throughout the film. In one scene he runs through the set, and that is the extent of his presence. There were parts of the show that were interesting, for example, the 'Father Christmas' legends from around the world were explained. However, that was too brief to save the rest of the show. Wonder why it was called 'Benji's Very Own Christmas Story' when he wasn't really the central character? Odd.

Fun adorable movie for my afternoon children's program . We are learning about Christmas Around the World. Great purchase !
