Good choice
I've used this cushion for about a week with good results (I had been using a footstool prior to this). The guitar is shifted to my right, the fingerboard in better position for viewing with less stress on my neck. Additionally, I think the shift to the right has eased stress on my right shoulder blade area. I've noticed, in general, a lessening of soreness in neck (particularly left side), right shoulder and lower back. The guitar feels reasonably secure after getting used to it. I'd say it's a little more clumsy to use than a footstool but the benefits are good. Cushion appears well-made and durable. It's good to have both feet securely on the floor. I'd add that another accessory, the Abel right arm rest, helps considerably, too, to make practicing better. The cushion is non-invasive and not otherwise attached to the guitar, in contrast to various frames and straps. As a beginner, I recommend this cushion. Oh, I'd add that I'm giving more attention to my posture, and that has helped.

A great idea plagued by compromise
The pad is in fact in polyurethane--not leather, as the seller purports. The idea is great--much better than the foot-stools or suction-cup supports, and the device is very affordable; however, this excellent idea was not perfectly implemented. For grown-up guitarists, the pad should be longer, with a less acute angle or slope, and the adhesive strap underneath, wider and greatly expanded. Short and lacking adhesion as it is, the pad is not extremely stable and has a tendency to slip on common fabrics, such as denim. This great, practical idea has evidently been the victim of some decisions made in committee, and too many compromises were made. In my opinion, to be more widely accepted, such a pad should be longer and adhere more intimately to the thigh....I has been a few weeks now, and the cushion is still what I use most! However, I still would like to see it a bit wider, and with a slightly wider upper curvature--so that it would better correspond to the curvature of the instrument. The adhesive strip on the bottom is by now even less adhesive than it was at the beginning... The cushion slips too easily, and lacks long term stability. This being said, the benefits of this device for the guitarist's posture are undeniable... No more torsion, no back aches. I am hoping that, soon, this, or another manufacturer will produce a better cushion--one able to confer the true stability and adhesion to the guitar--and the thigh--this one is lacking.

Firm but unstable
During the 50 years that I have been playing the classical guitar, I have tried a variety of supports. Guitar cushions are not new. Like others, this one elevates the guitar to the proper position. However, since it has no strap, it is requires constant repositioning. (I will probably add a strap using velcro.) And like other cushions, it squeaks. (Squeaking can be reduced by putting a cloth between the cushion and instrument.)So far the best support that I have found is one made by Sagework, which uses strong magnets that must be glued to the inside of the guitar. It is worth the trouble but it costs four times as much as a cushion.

Very useful and not expensive
I love this bolster for playing guitar! I’ve been using it in conjunction with a guitar strap that goes around my torso instead of an over the shoulder strap and the combination is working very well for me. I’ve had a lot of shoulder issues over the past few years but this combo is giving me hope to be able to continue playing guitar. The bolster grips snugly so I don’t feel like it’s going to fall off my leg while I’m playing. Thanks for offering this!

Good idea but so poorly executed that it's useless
This is a very good idea. The pad provides for a nice comfortable playing position for those of us who don't like footstools. However, the execution frankly is terrible. The pad slips on your leg. That's presumably why the pad has a strap attached that is intended to go under your leg to fix the pad in position. However, it is not adjustable and the strap is sized for kids. It is so tight around my leg that it cuts off blood circulation. I can't use the strap for more than 15 minutes. Useless.

Comfortable, and no suction cups!
It gets 4 stars for stability, looks, and comfort. It is far more comfortable than my A-frame, and I don't have to worry about suction cups coming off while playing. It looks professional. It does not, however, eliminate the need for a foot stool, unless I sit in a chair that is several inches lower than my usual practice chair, and then I can sit with both feet flat on the floor using either the cushion or my A-frame. I personally think the height of the chair's seat off the ground is probably the more critical adjustment for someone needing to eliminate the foot stool. That corrected, the A frame or the cushion will go a long way to adjust the guitar in relation to the shoulders and elbows. It's not expensive, doesn't seem to affect the sound of the guitar, so I'd say try it, and send it back if you don't like it.

It's a pad
Yeah it's a pad for your classical guitar. it does what it says. It works fine for me. It's 100 times more comfortable to play with it than with nothing. I'm 6'4" and i find it big enough. If you want even more height put your foot on a book. this isn't rocket surgery guys. The zipper quality is fine but it's irrelevant as you aren't gonna be taking the pad in and out. Actually if you have a super expensive guitar you may even wanna put a felt strip with sticky back or electrical tape over top of the zipper so you don't risk scratching the finish on the underside of your instrument if you mess up and drag it across there. If you want something that'll stick more to your leg buy a cheap sticky back strip of something to create more friction against your pants. C'mon guys quit complaining here. I don't find this thing moves around too much though, it's fine as is.

Excellent except needs more anti-slip material on botton
Excellent size and feel for me. Material does not feel cheap and the cushion's firmness feels just right to me. The nice silky carrying bag it comes with is a plus. I only wish they put more anti-slip material on the bottom. It doesn't slip with my electric guitar, but it does with my classical acoustic. Placing a piece of anti-slip mat on your lap should help.

Amazing! Rid my arm cramp issue!!!
Before getting this product I had an issue with feeling knarled cramping in left arm during and after I used to play/practice for 20min-2hrs. Can't believe what an amazing difference this pillow has made to my life! Arm issues gone and playing is purely enjoyable without worrying of crampy arms afterward. Bought another one for my guitar teacher instead of using her prop step. She loves it too!

Best Guitar Cushion for the price
I should say this is the best value for money guitar cushion on the market. The only think I would rather not to have in this product is the zipper. This is not only unnecessary, but it may scratch the bottom side of the guitar when it slides forward unnoticeably.

so I bought this to prop up the guitar better and reduce strain on my back
I play guitar in the classical position, so I bought this to prop up the guitar better and reduce strain on my back. I use it in combination with a foot stool. I play for 1 to 2 hours per day and since purchasing the pair I have had no back pain or back fatigue.
