Great storage box on the back of the bike.
The plastic box is durable, shuts securely, and light weight. The lock is nice, not that it would stop a hard core thief, but it will deter pilfering. Plenty of room, much more than other soft bags. The mounting brackets may or may not work for all bikes. On my electric bike the rack is larger and hence the supplied brackets wouldn't work. It was not difficult to come up with a solution, but did require drilling additional holes to reposition the brackets. I've taken the bike over rough terrain with twenty lbs in the box and it held up with a problem. I've used many other rear rack mounted solutions, and this one is the best for my needs. It is permanently mounted and serves as a trunk. If this is the type of product you are working on, I highly recommend it.

Nice big box to carry and protect stuff. Has a lock but isn't super secure against theft.
I like this box. It was pretty easy to attach to my rear rack. It's pretty big - big enough to hold a helmet, light jacket, tools, spare tube, lock, small pump etc. It keeps everything dry. (And if you are building or customizing an electric bike, it might be a good place for equipment and wiring too.) It has a lock, but keep in mind this is a relatively lightweight plastic box and it is not extremely secure. If someone were to kick it or hit it hard, it would probably break or pop open. I wouldn't trust it to keep valuables safe in a high-crime area but it's perfect for leaving my helmet and jacket behind when I go into a store. There's some room to modify and improve this box. The gaudy stickers are easily removed. It's just plain plastic on the inside. Items might rattle around while you ride. It could use a liner and/or some pouches - perhaps I will add. Also there's a flat spot on the back that would be a good place to mount a tail light.

Hard case bicycle clamshell
It is what I was expecting for the price. It will meet my needs instead of a soft sided bag. The case is well made. The mounting brackets are minimal and poorly engineered for their purpose. The brackets work but could be made better, wider. Hard to install the carrier on the bike rack, positioning and need to evenly tighten the bolts. I would rate the case/clamshell a five but because of the brackets a 4. the brackets are a 2. Will need to see on the trail how it will stay on the rear bike rack.

Nice
Installs very easily and securely. Once I mounted it to my Topeak Explorer Bike Rack , it was so secure that when I try to wiggle the case, the whole rack wiggles the back end of my bike. So it feels very solid. When you mount it I would suggest having the rider sit on the bike and making note of how close to the seat you can mount it. If you mount it too close you will end up putting pressure on it as most people's rear-ends hang over a bit off the back of most bike seats. The lock on the back of this unit is about what you would expect...just enough to keep people honest, but not much else. This thing is very roomy. Plenty of room for a helmet, a few water bottles and random stuff. Also it sits with about 1/3 rd or 1/4 of the case off the back of the rack and just hanging out there with no support. I was concerned about this at first, but I think it is a non-issue. If I push down on the very back of the case, where it is at the end and where it would give me the most leverage on the unsupported area - it is a ridged as the supported area. So I don't think it will be a problem. This unit also appears to be exactly like the Planet Bike Escape Pod but just less money. It looks like the Planet Bike case is literally this same case, but with a few stickers on theirs. Just my opinion from the pictures. I will try to follow up on this review once I get real some trail time on it.

Solid and sturdy. Installation needs improvement
This is a nice and solid clamshell box for the rear carrier. Overall, it is well made with solid hinges and sturdy clasps to hold the top down. Where this fails is the installation. The holes on the inside of the case do not line up with the holes for the brackets. After drilling new holes, the brackets are too short are barely wide enough to engage the rear carrier bars. With some additional modifications, I added large washers to allow capture of the side bars and was able to complete the installation. So, nice box. Terrible installation system. This may work better for your carrier, but it is not universally ok and their is no excuse for drill holes in the wrong location.

Absolutely like this product.
First, understand it is a bicycle box and not a motorcycle box. It is not heavy duty. What it is though, is a reasonably light weight box, well made, good hinge, light weight latch and lock system. Does not pop open by itself, but easy to open when you want it to open. Will not stop a determined thief, and would barely slow them down. It comes with universal mounting bracket pieces that you can use to attach to your bike rack. I chose not to use them. My Schwinn bike rack design is "less wire frame" and "more folded sheet metal with slots." As such, I used a pencil to mark the location that made the most sense to me on the rack, removed and flipped the rack over and going through some of the slots in the rack, I drilled holes to install 3/16" fine thread screws. Took less than an hour from start to finish and I was certainly in no hurry. I like the way it looks and I am satisfied with its quality.

Lots of space
These are large compared to soft pack rear cases. Also not sloppy looking. My husband hooked these to the rear rack on two different trikes with zip tie locking cables. These are not lined, so they can be a little noisy. Big deal, put a microfiber towel in the bottom. Also, like that these are waterproof because of the hard case. Nothing like getting caught in the rain with a soft case to find all your stuff is soaked. I haven't used these enough to comment on the locks or the clips. I imagine if you don't beat them to death, they should hold up just fine.

Super bon achat.

Have been after one of these for some time, finally bagged it for a very good price on here at around the twenty pound mark. Initial impressions were of a good quality item, and this has not changed. I found it fairly easy to fit to a Topeak Super tourist rack, though do bare in mind that if your saddle is not showing a lot of seatpost, you may have to hang it out over the back a fair bit so you can open it. After reading some of the other reviews here, I used a few lengths of inner tube to crudely cushion the box onto the rack, but also used these strips of tube to cover the spare holes - there are 8 in the base but you only use 4 - could not figure out what the other holes were for, perhaps someone else figured it out? Anyway, as others have noted, the lock is made of cheese, so the best solution is to leave it unlocked AND empty at all times when the bike is left unattended, otherwise I expect you may find it prised open and damaged. Irrespective, the box lets in no water, and does not inhibit the handling of the bike at all - I use mine for my commute, and put a towel at the bottom of the box to try and stop tools etc rattling, and this works well. The box is pretty full by the time I cram in lunch, snacks, tools, lock, some clothes etc etc, but it is more spacious that you would first imagine. Only negative, if you class it as such, is that unlike a rack bag, you come to a finite level of storage, where as with a rack bag you can generally squeeze a bit more in. Additionally a rack bag can be detached and taken away with you, where as of course with this you need to unload the contents - so it does take longer as you need to unpack when you arrive at your location, and then repack before you can go. Anyway, on the whole, as long as you have fitted your rack correctly, and do not overload this box (Which weighs virtually nothing) it will perform admirably. If it were to break, I would definitely buy it again, and I am tempted to buy another box to fit to my girlfriends Tricross, as it's damned useful if you want to go out on a weekend and take some food etc, or even just to buss into town to get some shopping, or go to the market etc etc.

Très léger et facile à placer

A really great box with generous storage, easy to mount. The only drawback is that it gets in the way of the rear light but I’m still very happy with it.
