Covers alot of history.
The world of whiskey. Where do you begin. Pull the cork and pour one theis is a tale that takes time to unfold. Starting with Lewis and Clarke and ending with the railroads domination of the west, this book has it all. A very in depth history of shaping, taming, and shaming the west. A great book for those into whiskey, cowboys or just history.

Interesting History
It was interesting to learn about the part whiskey played in the expansion of the West. Was not unusual for whiskey to be the first commodity brought into the boom towns. Also, interesting to learn that the Mormons had one of the largest distilleries in the mid 1800's.
