Great straps. Very sturdy, nice and wide. I like the metal ring alright, but would be nice if it was a seamless aluminum descending ring instead of a steel ring with a seam. But, since I am not trying to save weight, it serves its purpose. The only thing that was not in line with the picture, is that the photo shows black straps, and the ones I got were brown. Again, not something I'm worried about, and hardly worth losing a star over, but worth noting for those that might be concerned with color for whatever reason. The carry bag is a nice nylon bag, not ripstop, or silnylon, but decent none-the-less. And the bag is not too small either. It really bothers me when things come with stuff sacks that they only fit in out of the factory, and then you can never get them back in. Not the case here. Fits great.I've used these straps to camp overnight a few times, and overall I'm very pleased. Nice to have the extra length when you have bigger trees, or longer distances to hang.

If you need 2" straps then these will undoubtedly do the job and do it well. They are strong and being 2" wide they will not dig in and damage the bark. For trees that aren't huge you just loop these around a couple (or more) times (like shown in the pictures for this product) and you should be able to get these to work for pretty much any size of tree.Of course being 2" wide and 10' long they do have a bit more weight & bulk than smaller straps, but I have some 1" straps that came with my hammock if size/weight is an issue, in many situations it just wont matter.

instructions for use would have been helpful but a quick google search to find the best way solved this problem.

These work very well. I have two trees 16 feet apart and I was able to get these to work beautifully. They are strong and well made.

Cinches real tight to the tree and securely holds my hammock with no chance of damage to the tree.

Very sturdy straps! I have been using these on my patio and they work great. I will be taking them on my next camping trip so I will actually get to use them on trees. Can't wait!!
