Be very wary!
Seller failed to mention its "Region Management Information [RMI," which effectively limits (extremely) the DVDs one can play on this device. In the fine print from the manufacturer: This DVD player is designed and manufactured to respond to the RMI that is recorded on a DVD disc. If the Region number described on the DVD disc does not correspond to the Region number of this DVD player, this DVD player cannot play that disc. In other words: Very few DVDs can be played on this POC!

A lot of tech for the price, but also a lot of compromises
This is product that's hard to assign a star rating to. The fact that you can get a DVD/AV file player with a screen, battery, remote, and all that for this price makes it a very good deal... but it's not great at anything. If you are not going to have access to AC power or at least 12V power, the battery is going to let you down. If you can only watch one movie, why bother to bring the thing? The audio is not great and even at full volume, you better be in a fairly quiet environment. I don't think you could really even use it in a noisy car without headphones. The TFT display isn't bad, especially to those used in portable screens a few years ago, but it isn't great either. It has a wide viewing angle horizontally, but if you look at it from any vertical angle greater than 15 degrees or so, the picture degrades terribly. The build quality is okay if you treat it gently. I would not expect it to survive a drop or any kind of abuse. You can use it as a regular DVD player by connecting it to a TV, but your only option is RCA analog jacks. It does not support HDMI.I will probably use this as a DVD player for my RV, but in this day and age where you inexpensive tablet probably lasts for 8-12 hours on a charge, there's not a lot of application for this device considering its limitations. So, again, a LOT of functionality at a reasonable price... and there's nothing really bad about it (except maybe the battery) but it's also not great at anything - so it's up to you to determine if this is solution in search of a problem you don't have, or something you could really use.

Awesome for the price!
I used to have a little portable DVD player like 20 years ago and got rid of it at some point because I would use my laptop to watch movies and play music CDs. Now everything has gone to the internet with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc. That’s all good and well, but I still have some movie, yoga, and nature DVDs along with a handful of music CDs that I haven’t been able to part with. I was so excited to get this DVD/CD player and it is such an amazing affordable price.I would agree with other reviewers that the battery doesn’t last a long time, but it’s got a regular power adapter and a cigarette plug in for the car. Plus, for the price I wouldn’t expect it have a very good battery, so I did not mark down the short battery life on my rating. It comes with a comprehensive paper manual, but it is pretty intuitive to use the controls. You can control it from either the DVD player console or the remote control. Yes, for this affordable price you even get a remote control.I was pleasantly surprised by the screen quality and the sound. I mean it’s not $1,000 or $2,000 tv screen quality, but it is totally acceptable in my opinion. I love putting on my nature DVDs and the picture is clear and the sound is pleasant with no static (although I do keep the volume pretty low). You can plug in headphone and even plug into your tv to play the DVDs/CDs. It comes with the cables for tv connection too!I could not figure out the strap that came with it. It has two loops but I can’t figure out how to attach them. Not a big deal, I have a neoprene case I had on had and I store it in there.I am very happy with this player. For the price you absolutely can’t go wrong. Finally, I can play my DVDs and CDs again. And I don’t need an internet connection to watch movies and play music. This is awesome!!!

A nice DVD player FOR THE PRICE, Dismal battery life
I will start off by saying that this is definitely not the "best DVD player" or a "very high quality DVD player" however it is a "good DVD player for the price" and does what its target audience will want it to do. My biggest gripe is the "battery life"; honestly if you cannot deliver battery life that is long enough for a feature-length movie then why put in a battery at all?I tested this out with shows for my son; I burned one of his favorite shows to a DVD and set it up on this player for him while I was working. He loved it; audio quality and picture quality is good enough. Screen is 1024x600 so its better than the 800x480 standard DVD resolution. It has video outputs for TV's and I believe even a video input for a gaming console or something....The controls are easy enough that my son(4) was able to operate it within 5 minutes of me showing him how to do it. I believe that this is the intended audience for these players.... it's a simple affordable DVD player to bring around places for your kids to watch some of their shows on. Most kids shows still come on DVD so it makes sense....The screen has surprisingly good colors and I was impressed by the speakers; however the view angles aren't the greatest (check pictures) but it can be expected in this price tier. All in all I can recommend it for kids to just have something to watch their shows on from time to time.If this review helped you at all; please mark it helpful! Thanks!

Best Portable DVD Player!
The price was very affordable. The style is nice. Buttons are big & easy to see & use. Has a big screen. I like the Amazon ad for it where it did not show disrespectful females dressed in scant swim suits, like other DVD player ads showed. I have not owned a portable DVD player in years & am so happy to have one.Though I have not used the remote control yet, so I cannot comment on it. But I wonder why the wire on the adapter is so short.
