It's what they love
I've bought several kinds of food pellets for my three guinea pigs, and they like them to varying degrees. Then one day I somehow got a 50lb bag of this stuff, and my pigs have been in love with them ever since. My three girls are very spoiled. I have high quality hay, and give them as much fresh veggies as is good for them. But they always come back to the pellets. It's something they always love.
