AHHHHHHMAZING!!
I've never written a review before, so excuse the length. It was the reviews that helped me make such a good decision and I would just like to pay it forward...I just moved to a new apt and decided it was time to let my previous mattress go as dents had formed and I'd already had it for over 8 years. I had slept on my friend's tempurpedic and thought that memory foam would be the route I'd take, especially because I have a herniated disc in my back and word was that mem foam helps. Only problem-- I was not willing to spend over $2,000 on a Tempurpedic. I'd spoken to my boss because he had told me that he and his wife had purchased a Bob-o-Pedic and that it was the best bed ever. He also has back problems, so I figured if he said it was good then I should try it.I purchased the Celestial pillowtop, it was dual firmness, one side was firm and the other plush. I kept the mattress for 2 weeks and it was two weeks toooo long. That was the most painful sleep I'd experienced in years. Firm side was too hard, and plush side was too soft. I woke up each and every morning feeling stiff as a board with my back hurting so much that I was about ready to sleep on the floor until I found a proper mattress. I was getting anxious because it became clear that laying on a mattress in the store for a few minutes is not a great indicator of how it will feel to lay on it for 8 hours.I had been talking to my girlfriend about my situation and she told me that her b/f's dad had bought a mem foam that came in a box for about $600. She said her b/f's dad loved it and it was the best he'd slept on. I'd heard of the whole bed-in-a-box concept, but I was really skeptical, to me, any mattress that came in a box had to be flimsy because how can you really fold a mattress if it's sturdy? Putting my skepticism aside, I came to Amazon to do some research and see what people were saying. I came across this mattress as one of the cheapest with the most reviews. When I saw that out of 145 reviews only 16 were bad (1,2 & 3 Stars) I decided to try it. Boy am I glad I did!I will admit, buying a mattress on-line has its pros and cons, the biggest concern I had was having to ship the thing back if I didn't like it. After all the thing is vacuum packed. Well I am glad to say that I have no need for returning it. This is the BEST mattress I've ever slept on.I had to have the mattress shipped to my job because I am never home to receive packages. I was a bit worried about getting it home, because of the size of the box, but I was able to fit it in the back seat of my 2000 Honda Civic with no problem whatsoever. I was not, however, able to get it up 4 flights of steps without some help as the box is about 100 lbs for a queen size. Finally got the bed into my apt. I put the mattress onto the platform bed and opened it up. as soon as the mattress opened it expanded. It didn't take hours to get to its full size, that happened in perhaps a matter of minutes. As soon as I opened it up I put it in a protective enclosure that I'd gotten from Bobs. I only mention this because I believe I can attribute the fact that there has been no smell emanating from the mattress because it's been enclosed. The slight smell I did notice was almost almond-y, there was nothing chemically overwhelming or intrusive about the smell.I just slept on the mattress for the first time last night, and I am sitting on it as I write this review. All I can say is that I am sooooo happy I decided to go the Bed-in-a-box route, and that I chose this particular mattress. The mattress is neither too firm, nor too plush. I fell asleep faster than I can remember falling asleep on any other mattress, and I woke up in the morning feeling great. I am a side and stomach sleeper and found the mattress to be great for both.BOTTOM LINE-- I highly recommend this mattress, its inexpensive and it is super comfortable.

Awesome Mattress!
A friend told me about a similar bed they purchased on line at walmart.com and how inexpensive it was for the quality of the product. When I went to walmart.com, they were out of stock. Sigh! So I started searching around. I found this bed on Amazon and it was only $50 more than the one at Walmart. Plus it had a 10 yr warranty versus a 5 yr warranty like the other one. I read pages and pages of the reviews for this bed and almost every one of them was positive. On Sunday throughout the day, a friend and I shopped all the mattress stores for a similar bed, not one of them under $1100! Sunday evening I ordered the bed. Since I live in Alaska, I was not eligible for the free super saver shipping on this item but the shipping was reasonable at $113, still a good $600 less than any bed I found out at the stores here.I must add that we are extremely limited in variety of platform bed frames up here and to have one shipped is astronomical, and since Amazon does not appear to sell the bed frame in the display photo, I bought a sleigh bed I liked on Monday evening from one of the local furniture stores. Tuesday I re-enforced the slats with 2x4s and cut to fit 1/2" plywood for the base. I have to say it looked quite nice! By the way, if anyone knows where to get the bed frame in the display picture for this bed, I would gladly pay the shipping on it to get it to Alaska!Wednesday morning came and the anticipation was killing me! I checked the FedEx tracking for this while at work and found it had been delivered to my doorstep at 9:37am! I would have to wait all day to check out my new bed. I got home around 6pm and there was the box on my doorstep. I wrestled it up the stairs pushing it end over end and into my bedroom. I opened the box and then upended it onto the platform of the bed frame (other people also recommended to put it where you want it before you open it) and pulled the bed out. I, like others, figured there was no way this bed could ever puff up to a full 12". I cut the protective wrapping and then the plastic wrapping off the bed, and then I watched in amazement as this baby started to expand!Within 45 minutes, the bed was a full 12+ inches, no smell whatsoever as described by other people! I put the mattress cover, sheets and comforter on it and almost could not wait to go to bed. I laid on it and watched TV and found it very comfortable and then when it was time to go to bed, fell asleep almost immediately. It is now Thursday morning as I write this review and I cannot recommend this bed enough! For the value, it is awesome! The comfort is wonderful and is more than comparable to the $1100 + beds I tried out on Sunday. I highly recommend it and I am thinking about buying another one to replace the pillowtop in my guest bedroom! Thank you Amazon and Sleep Innovations! And again, if anyone knows where I can get the bed frame in the display picture, please let me know.UPDATE March 2012:Here is an update for those still on the fence about this bed. Its been a little over a year since I bought this bed and I still love, love, love it! It has kept its shape and it is still the most comfortable bed I have ever owned. I bought a different brand for my guest bedroom and have tried it out a few times. There is no comparison. If you want a comfortable bed for a great price, buy this bed!2ND UPDATE 5/8/2012:So, I have owned my bed for about 15 months now and I still absolutely love it. No aches and pains, no pressure points. EXCEPT when I would sleep over at my boyfriend's house. He had an old coil spring bed and when I would get up in the morning I would have stiffness and my hips would hurt. He also complained about lower back and hip pain but was not willing to shell out $1000s for a new bed. He does not stay at my house very often due to allergies (I have dogs) and since he was always stuffed up when he stayed over he was miserable. So I ordered this bed for his house, but since I wanted it to be a surprise, I had it delivered to my house. It was a little bit of self preservation as well as wanting him to be comfortable. Anyhow, since it was to be a surprise, I had to wait a few days to set it up when I knew he would be gone all day from his house. And I had to go buy a low profile box spring. The day came for me to set it up and I lugged the still boxed mattress and box spring over to his place in the morning. Got the mattress in the house just fine. The box spring was a little more of a challenge but after much pushing, tugging, pulling and sweating, got it through the sharp angle of the bedroom door and put it in the frame. Next came the opening of the box. Lessons from previous reviews and experience had me place the bed on the box spring before cutting the plastic and letting it expand, but once I did....bazinga! It expanded post haste with no smell whatsoever! I quickly put brand new sheets and comforter on the bed and left. Unbeknowest to me, while pushing, tugging, pulling and sweating with the box spring, I inadvertently twisted the dial of the thermostat UP.Nine hours later, after a full day of working and playing at the motocross track, I gave my boyfriend a ride home. We opened the front door to a sauna at 90 degrees, a result of hitting the thermostat with the box spring! I said "Oops, I must have knocked it accidentally" then gave him a kiss and left in a hurry, leaving him to turn it down, open the windows and discover his new bed.About an hour later I get a text and all it said was "its comfy." When he woke up the next morning he texted "I don't want to get out of bed." I asked him if it was because he was still tired or because he liked the bed. He said, "LOVE IT!" However, he did have to sleep on top because it was too hot in the house from the heat. My point is, my boyfriend said the mattress was not hot in any way, even though the room temp was way above 80 when he went to bed.Last night (second night of having the new bed), he just crawled into the bed, pulled the covers up and a big smile spread across his face. Then he said, "I love this bed, honey. Thank you."I am ecstatic that he is happy with this bed. If you are in the market for a memory foam mattress, I don't think you can go wrong with this one.
