Review: Sturdy, durable, supportive, protective. - This is my third pair of these. The first one lasted over 20 years. I have ankle problems and I need a lot of support, so I wear these all year long. Yes they're hot in the summertime, but it's worth it for the extra rigid support. I build trails 3 days a week in these boots and beat the crap out of them. They are really sturdy. I have tried 4 other kinds of plastic mountaineering boots, and these are by my by far my favorite. Review: Four Stars - Bought two sizes larger and still is very difficult to get my feet in the boot

Solid.
Ball of foot is great. A little narrow in the heel, but supportive nonetheless.

Great for alpine ascents
Double plastics are so easy- no break in, relatively cheap. My wife has taken these up Rainier and Shasta. Ide get a pair for myself if they made a size 15 :/ I guess Europeans don't think big guys climb mountains.

It was painful.
The heel does not fit well, I have got big blisters on the inner part of both heel after one hour climbing on Mt. Rainier. It was painful.
