The title says everything you need to know
While there are a few interesting things here, the salacious title kind of tells you everything you need to know. In short, there are girls that have interest in becoming...friends with older men in exchange for financial arrangements. You can think whatever you would like about it but the book is stating that this is a dark side of capitalism, the internet and access to strangers. Many other better studies on the Dark Side of the New Economy. I don't think many will find this very compelling, even if the title interests you.

Nothing Special
I found the title to be misleading - as someone who recently graduated college (and having known several people with SDs), I was hoping that this would provide more information on the rising trend of college students and young adults funding their lives via SDs. I feel the name is, obviously, to sensationalize and gain interest; however, I found the book to just not be that interesting IMO.

Missing the impact
I'm a fan of this author and have read much of his prior work however, felt disappointed and let down by this release. Some is a rehash and while prior books have presented hard hitting evidence, this feels more watered down, opinionated and less exacting. The conclusions are insipid. Basically has lost the punch.

Not what you might expect
The title is more sensationalistic than descriptive. I don’t think that I am the only reader who doesn’t appreciate that sort of manipulation.
