Finally, a Pocket-Book Friendly Must See laptop
The Acer C720 arrived on time. Set up and use are incredibly easy. After a lot of research and reviews, I bought the Acer for the lightness, the graphics, and the great deal on price.I was able to improve the deal by buying a refurbished model. Unfortunately, it does not come with free cloud storage so I haven't any experience in using that aspect. This chromebook has exceeded all my expectations. It's blazingly fast in booting up, the battery holds its charge for about 7 hours on mine, and the delights of streaming you tube videos, movies, TV shows makes this Acer all I need. It's very lightweight, coming in at around 1.3 lbs. Hard to find that in a standard laptop. One reviewer described it as the workhorse of the chromebooks. It's a bit stylish and the keyboard is excellent, with good tactile feedback and decently sized. I thought 11.6 in screen would be too small. I was wrong. I can highly recommend this product and here is its sixth star:*

Not quite perfect, but pretty stinkin' good
First - the refurb seems to be pretty good. It works just fine, and no noticeable scratches or dings. A+ on that. Now to the company, etc - I received it quickly with everything I needed to fire it up immediately. A+ there too.To the product - It's a little small for the eyes of an old(er) man, but I can zoom quickly, so I can live with it. The same thing that makes it a little rough on the eyes makes it a dream to carry/lift. It's sitting next to my 15.6" Acer. It feels like it weighs less than half that. Pretty sweet. The battery has never been an issue for me either. The instant startup is awesome, I must say. They say it takes 7 seconds. It's never taken more than 4. Compare that to my Acer at 30 seconds plus, and then I have to wait for it to find the wifi - I find myself picking up the chromebook more and more. Storage can be interesting. Photos still go on my "real" computer as that has the space. I'm not paying extra for cloud storage, so that's what I'll have to do for now. Also, I'm not a big gamer anymore so I'll be okay without the latest edition of "Knights of the Old Republiic". The audio is about what you'd expect. Meh. Bluetooth works like a charm though. Finally, the keyboard layout is a little... compressed. Again, you get used to it.And finally the software - It's my first time using Chrome OS and was pretty intuitive and speedy, especially if you're used to other OS's AND have a google account. I've had no problems at all with speed on Netflix, youtube, etc, and it works great with my Chromecast. One weird thing is that even setting the mouse at full speed, it moves slower than on my Windows computer. You get used to it, but I could see it bugging someone who was playing a speed-click game. Google works just fine for docs, spreadsheets, etc. So it would be good for schoolwork too.I'm sure I've forgotten a few things, but you get the idea.Is it perfect for me? It's pretty darn good, but not quite. A 14" would be great, both for screen size and keyboard spacing. But the bigger ones jump like mad in price, so, no thanks, not yet. Am I glad I bought it? Definitely. Would I recommend it to others? Definitely so, but only after they read this and a few other reviews to be sure its limitations won't be too much of a pain, or at least don't outweigh the benefits. It's not for everyone, but it would be plenty for many. It's a great backup (almost first) computer. It would make a great schoolwork computer for kids and even college students. And it's the perfect little travel computer as well.

Beware: This is sold by THIRD PARTY, not from ACER
I purchased this because I thought it was an Acer refurbished product. Most OEM refurbished products come with original packaging, but this did not - so I was a bit wary that the charger and laptop came naked in just a box.But it was when I saw and read the 90-day warranty that comes with this that I realized there is some bait-and-switch going on here. This product is serviced, liquidated and sold by liquidation.com, not by Acer. The warranty reads: "The product you have purchased from Liquidity Services, Inc...." The warranty is not Acer specific but is a generic one that also covers eMachines and Gateway computers.I didn't give it 1 star because the laptop seems to work. But something goes wrong the next few weeks, this is probably a good reason.

Not bad, had small dents on the side
Bought a used one. Not bad, had small dents on the side, but still works like new. Except I thought it would've came in with the original charger and I got a replacement charger instead. I HATE replacement chargers. I bought mine online for my acer laptop and it didn't work. But for this chromebook, for now it seems fine. But for some weird reason, but chromebook battery life keeps going up and down every 4-5 mins. Just got it, should I return it!? or is that normal? Again, it is a used chromebook with a replacement charger.

Beat all expectations
This is a great laptop for travel, or even at home for quickly checking e-mail etc. It's (very) cheap, light, easy to use, and boots + shuts down very fast. It does not run windows, and if you want to add a more traditional OS your only option is linux (as far as I know), so be aware of that when you purchase this product, or any other chromebook.I use this laptop for work all the time, it's great for taking notes and looking up information online. I also use it frequently to connect to other machines via a terminal or via a remote desktop client from wherever I happen to be at the moment. The battery lasts ~8 hours when using a terminal or a google doc and about 4-5 hours that when streaming videos, which is good enough for me. The bonus 100GB Google drive storage and 12 in-flight internet passes should be useful as well, although I didn't have the chance to try them yet.In summary; I'm very happy with this chromebook, it does exactly what I bought it for at a price/performance ratio that is the best I have ever experienced for a laptop. I bought it refurbished but it arrived pretty much brand new.
