Dual external displays with MacBook Pro!!
This little hub is simply amazing! I recently got a new MacBook Pro and I couldn't use my old Lenovo dock for my dual monitors on my desk because of issues that Macs can't tell the difference between the different monitors. But this dock is thunderbolt and the communication lets it tell the monitors apart so I can have 3 separate displays (laptop and two external monitors) or close the laptop and have 2 separate displays. Works perfect, no software required. The only thing worth noting is that this is buss powered and my laptop seems to want to power down when I close the lid unless it is plugged in. I might be able to fix this in settings but I'm really happy I don't need an expensive hub or dreaded extra software to get my external displays working for the Mac. Additionally, this hub also works flawlessly with my Lenovo laptop, where the actual Lenovo hub would take forever to recognize it was plugged in and still would shut off one monitor while working randomly..

Great Dock, But Beware of USB Hubs!
I've been using the OWC Thunderbolt Mini Dock with my 2023 M2 Pro MacBook Pro, and I must say it's largely been an excellent experience. The dual HDMI outputs are a significant highlight, effectively driving my two displays – one at 4K 60Hz and the other at 1080p 144Hz – with no noticeable hitches. The compact design of the dock is also perfect for minimalistic setups or for those who are frequently on-the-go. However, a word of caution for potential buyers: while the dock has two USB ports, I'd advise against connecting USB hubs to them. In my experience, doing so can lead to some unexpected behavior or reduced functionality. The dock seems best suited for direct device connections. In conclusion, if you're looking for a reliable and efficient way to connect multiple displays and a couple of USB devices directly, this dock is a solid choice. Just steer clear of plugging in hubs, and you should have a smooth experience!

No frills dual-monitor solution for my MacBook.
This is a simple, compact solution to enable dual-monitors on my MacBook M4. It was literally plug and play. The 1 Gbps ethernet jack works well with my matching FIOS service -- achieving consistent 900 Mbps speeds. My only nit is the fixed thunderbolt cable used to connect to the Mac is a little short. But a quality 18-inch male to female USB cable did the trick.

Does not work reliably with MacBook Pro with an M1Max
Update - The mini dock kept making me reboot each time I wanted 2 monitors -worked great until the computer went into sleep or was unplugged when I went from my home office to the living room. When I returned it would not work. I suspect it was an Apple issue as when I put 13.4 OS on , even after a reboot, it would not work. Back to using the included HDMI port and an Anker mini dock with HDMI again. Wish I could use it. But not with the Mac I have. After dealing with a Rube Golberg type setup with an Anker USBc HDMI converter for one monitor and plugging the other into the included HDMI port and then having another for USB A and none for Ethernet (Parer from the magnet port) - I bought this. Boom both LG 4K monitors worked after plugging in and Ethernet is fast (980 MB/sec) and the USBA camera works great. And all at a reasonable price. No tech setup - just plug-n-go! <Update - after having this dock for a week>. THis is not a good dock for pugging in and having it all work, and unplugging and having to come back - without rebooting. Still working with OWC Support, but Apple does not make it easy to have two monitors. I still like the 60 hertz for both monitors, and the ethernet stays pegged at 990 mbs. So when it works, it is bester than by old solution, but plugging in after rebooting makes it less that satisfying for me overall.

MacOS, This is the 2-port HDMI Switch You Need for Extending to Both Monitors
On a Macbook, it just works. I ordered this adapter after reading about it on a Mac forum. Somebody there recommended this particular 2-port HDMI adapter as the cheapest one that works right with MacOS. Someone had tried a bunch of different ones. MacOS seems quite finicky about extending the desktop to dual monitors. Had ordered a cheaper unit first, but returned it. That unit worked fine for mirror mode and would extend to one monitor. However, monitor #3 would only mirror monitor #2, not extend as it should. If you goggle, you with find that the third monitor not showing in the MacOS settings is a common problem with other 2-port HDMI adapters. I didn't know this and lost time figuring it out. After getting the right adapter, was relieved it works. Having three screens is great! Now I wish for 4 screens....

A little finicky
It does work, and has been a great help. Just seems the connections are finicky. Ya' gotta' hold yer mouth just right.

Durable and reliable
I used this to send 4k video feeds to 2 additional monitors to pair with the regular hdmi out port, and at the same time used the Ethernet connection, all for immersive experiences and hybrid events. Zero hiccups. You can even run an audio interface through it if you like and because of the high bandwidth of thunderbolt most likely expect to have no issues. I don't generally do that but I tested it for a while and it seemed to work. An essential piece of my production.

Great HDMI output for dual monitors
I had previously some cheaper multiport adapters. They flickered, overheated, did not support 60 Hz HDMI. This one supports 100 Hz on both HDMI outputs, does not overheat or flicker. Some people complain at the Ethernet quality of this dock. I did not use Ethernet port, so I cannot comment. USB and HDMI are perfect.

Works with 2 screens for Mac
Good for two screens on a MacBook, but not a lot of extra ports. Came quickly
