Disney Oz The Great and Powerful - China Doll

My daughter fell in love with this little dolls character in the movie Oz The Great and Powerful. This doll looks exactly like the doll in the movie. Although the doll is not actually porcelain she is absolutely perfect as a representation of her character.

It was an amazing gift for my fiancé. She loved it.

She is just what I was expecting, and then some. No, she is obviously not going to be real China like some reviewers expected. That tells me they've never priced a real porcelain doll before if they thought they were getting one for 20 dollars. They did in fact make a real porcelain China doll and she's going for upwards of 600 dollars. Not quite appropriate for a child, and not really practical for the average parent unless you're Daddy Warbucks. It's of collectors quality and they only made 500. Stick with this one for the kiddos.Anyhow, this doll looks great, I will admit it, I bought her for myself. Every joint on her body is articulated to move, so you can put her in literally any position. I had no issue carefully slicing all the tape to get her out with the box still intact, I used a sharp pairing knife. All in all, I'm thrilled to pieces over her! She is already sitting on my China cabinet watching our household go by. I wish I had picked up 2 or 3 so I could make a little girl happy, but I'll have to settle for making my inner child happy.

This doll adds to my Wizard of Oz collection. Looks just like it does in the movie. Was very well packaged. And came in quickly. No complaints.

After watching the movie and absolutely falling in love with the China girl character, I bought her as soon as I knew there was a doll of her available. She is absolutely beautiful and so so cute! This doll is made really well, from her big pretty blue eyes to her lovely blue dress. She is fully articulated and can be posed in a variety of positions. I highly recommend this doll to all fans of Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful and China girl! One thing about the doll was the packaging, it was like breaking into Fort Knox, you have to perform surgery to get her out of her box! The box is ruined pretty much. So if your a collector, I suggest buying two of them, one for display and one to keep boxed away. I have her sitting on my computer desk smiling and waving at me! Makes me smile everyday! I will always be a kid at heart and this doll warms your heart through and through.

Just like in the movie, Oz The Great and Powerful. This doll is not porcelain. She's made of shiny plastic which looks and feels like a porcelain doll. Her hands, arms, legs, feet and head can be posed in different directions and she can sit perfectly on a shelf. She looks just like the movie doll. A wonderful gift for anyone's doll collection.

Wow what lovely doll. Yes Disney had the resin one that was a limited edition only 500 or sobut this one is much prettier, and you can actually play with it. For kids that's more importantthan a collectable that just sits around collecting dust, and all you can do is stare at it. Don't get me wrong theDisney one is worth investing in.....but this one look like the wonderful movieversion, also she will bring hours of fun. The other point is how big she is compared to the other dolls in her age bracket. She looks like a family heirloom that's been in the family for years. She is also age suitable forlittle girls. I highly recommend this China girl for holiday gift giving.

We both really enjoyed the Oz movie - wonderful movie! And my wife fell in love with China Doll.So as a surprise, I ordered it for her. She LOVED it. Although, unlike the picture, the doll wereceived is wearing a different dress than in the movie and the Amazon photo that's next to myreview text I'm typing now. The doll image at the "add to cart" page has a DIFFERENT dress,the one we received. Weird! But either way, she loved it so that's all that counts in the end.I'm a "detail guy" even when it comes to stuff like this. Find it odd they would be different. Wellmade in every way I can tell otherwise, and a good value.
