The first full-length release from Danny since his acclaimed The Hybrid in 2010, XXX is a concept record about hedonism, growing up, and Detroit, taking listeners on a profane and psychedelic journey through the uncensored mind of rap's most electric MC. There's no laundry list of guest appearances or producers-for-hire, keeping the focus squarely on Danny and his rhymes: a triple stack of pop culture references and did-he-really-say-that? provocations atop the heart of a poet. "The most peculiarly infectious voice since Dizzee Rascal." - Pitchfork "Obsessed with words in an era that doesn't support laboring over lyrics, Brown is reinterpreting hip-hop his own way." Review: Just Cool - It was good album because Danny Brown tells it like it is. I loved it for its innovative style of delivery and the way he changes up his style. The weakest track is easily Blunt after Blunt which is dull has dark production and a gangster like delivery for being about nothing but taking beatings and smoking weed, worst track by far. And yet each other track o this album blows me away. The difference between the first eleven tracks and the last eleven, starting with Adderall Admiral, is just astounding and reminds me of Ice Cube's and Outcast's similarly structured albums. Overall this album would be a 9.7 out of 10 but with desertcart I'll just gie it a 5/5. It is simply an amazing album and a must buy for any who enjoy Hip Hop Review: Great mixtape! - I been sleeping on Danny Brown for awhile. I heard him on the track 1train with asap rocky he had a nice verse. Heard him on a track with elzhi on the leftover mixtape his lyrics seemed erratic and stupid to me.I gave this mixtape a try out of curiosity this mixtape is sick!Beats are crazy, I like his more serious flow, but I like how he changes it up on some songs also. I was very surprised by the mixtape. It was very good highly recommended if you like real hip-hop not that pop music

Great stuff
One of the best rap albums I know. Almost no guests, just Danny Brown. Lyrics probably a little too sex focused to make it an all time classic but I can't stop listening.

Ratchet but righteous!
I randomly heard Danny Brown for the first time as the background music to somebody's tumblr page. Every now and then in this life, you're hear a song which makes you stop EVERYTHING and dance. "Witit" was that song for me. When I scanned the snippets for the whole album, I fell in love. I can listen to this entire album nonstop. It's truly awesome. Yes, there's room for growth - I do get tired of the nonstop intensity of his voice - but with time, Danny Brown will assume his rightful place as the Crown Prince of Rap.

Party in the Front, Depression in the Back
The vinyl album comes with a lyric sheet, perfect for shocking and terrifying your parents or grandparents. But beneath the initial shock value of Brown's music, there's a deep undercurrent of melancholy. Danny Brown's public persona is that of a sex-crazed, drugged out clown, but a closer look brings to mind the story about the comedian going to the psychiatrist and being told to buy a ticket to his own stand-up show to "cheer up."

Another modern classic and arguable Danny's best album. Incredible front to back. If you're into semi-experimental hip-hop this is a must buy!

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my nephew. The record had a noticable flaw in the vinyl and had to be returned as the record skipped a lot. Now waiting for the replacement.
