As is. No updates no worries, good backup or glove box phone. Better than a candy bar style phone.
First of all...$20. What can you expect? It was used. Came in original box with accessories, even a HDMI cable. I put in my Mint Mobile sim and entered the APN info and it works. Data and messages work also. Not getting 4G. Android Market is a dead soldier from a long time ago so no updates. Besides, even if you could install an apk would have to install it on your memory card and the RAM would not be able to support it. The radio works and you can text in landscape mode. If need be you can browse the web. In my opinion, I would rather have this XT800 than one of those candy bar style phones that you have to hit 7 four times just to get the letter “s”. Haven’t tried the Bluetooth yet but you can connect to WiFi. So, put some music on your micro sd card, grab your headphones (or the cheap ones that are included) and get your $20 worth of enjoyment out of it.

Read this before you purchase!
Just opened new phone. First thing I noticed was the significant amount of asian writing on the packaging inside. The phone does not look exactly like what is displayed in the picture. The one sent to me has symbols and asian writing under the symbols. So, when I went to activate the phone, I am told the MEID number located in the battery compartment has too many number/letters and my carrier is unable to activate phone. I sent an email to Amazon vendor to find out what the issue is here. Seems difficult to work out issues prior to Christmas if I cannot discuss by phone with vendor. I will write back when I hear more.

Dual SIM, useless for North America.
It's my own fault for not researching more. But CDMA is not compatible with HSPA. So this phone would not work with a Koodo Mobile sim in Canada. I used it with a T mobile GSM chip. It was adequate as a basic android phone. But it is slow. Reception for data and wifi connection were bad. In Canada I could not get a Tmobile roaming signal. My wife's Tmobile (Comet) would have 3 bars while roaming in Ontario, this phone was EMERGENCY signal only. Same thing when working in an auto plant in South Carolina. So for North America I wouldn't bother with this phone.
