Easy to setup, make sure you set the quality to high and have decent sized storage (low quality is potato cam and would be useless for anything legal, high quality is perfect even at night in my unlit garden). Motion detection has good sensitivity, great price for entry level kit.

Very easy to set up with just a POE injector, WIFI Pod and a 256gb micro SD providing 4-5 days of recordings. No need for an NVR, unless you want more than one camera, Fantastic picture, day and night. All in all, cost less than £100 to have a very good CCTV system at home that you can view from anywhere in the world with a wifi or data connection. Highly recommend for piece of mind.

It can be set up to email you and I'll just say here that it was a pain in the rear to set up but only because it uses a weird password method, but don't be put off by this as there is a very good youtube video by TDCatTech that is so simple to follow, even I did it the first time, now I have the camera up and running and all is well, the picture quality is great and I couldn't believe how much sound this thing picks up through that tiny hole for the microphone, for a camera this size and price I'm well and truly surprised.

Excellent security camera so easy to set up and connect to your wi-fi. Everything crystal clear good audio and zoom capabilities. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

Very nice camera. Better built than my previous 811 cameras, and has the focus option not on my others.

Edit: The camera failed at 30 days in the middle of the night. Realised this but there's no Amazon return after 30 days. Contacted Reolink and they took me through some tests and the camera will not power on. All communication done over chat, and a replacement camera arrived within a few days and worked first time. Hopefully this one lasts longer. Please be aware of 2 things. 1. There is no detailed warranty included in the product and this is on their website. If you want the warranty in force when you bought the product then print out the website warranty. 2. Even though the unit failed within 30 days, you are responsible for the cost of returning the defective unit to Reolink. Many other manufacturers are happy if you prove that the unit is unusable - cut off the wire etc, but Reolink want you to arrange a courier or go to the post office. Not very Covid friendly and a bit out of pace with other companies. I presume that they want to repair the unit and sell it as a refurb. Saves their costs I suppose but at the price of customer satisfaction. So docked stars for lack of reliability and customer satisfaction. Can't fault the camera itself provided it stays working... Edit: Still working fine a week later. Reolink and I have come to an equitable arrangement with my problem, and I must say that their support is never less than polite. Just be aware that if you ask a question you need to be patient as the respondent may be in another time zone - they apologized for this too. Original Review: I've installed these before so install was under an hour, but had prepped the camera before hand. Needs a network connection as there is no wifi on the unit. Also there is no power supply provided with the assumption being a power over IP unit or one of Reolink's recording systems. I prefer separate power anyway so I connected up a 12v 1.75a power supply with a long low voltage extension wire. It comes with a housing to protect the cat5 connection but not for the power - again the assumption. No problem really as I drilled a hole and passed all the connecters into the roof after pulling the wires through and linking up from the outside. The cat5 gland was a squeeze to get over the plug and I am unsure if the gland is ip66 rated. This is the confusion - why provide this if you are running the network wire externally, when there is no protection provided for the power socket such as a cap to prevent water ingress? Installation was mark and drill the mounting holes in the house eaves and the hole for the wires a short distance away, mount the camera using the screws provided, pull through the cables and connect to camera, make the power and cat5 connections in the loft, use the image on the mobile app to align the camera. Image quality is very good as is the night vision. As is usual with all cameras with night vision, the LEDs attract moths. If it bothers you then get a separate IR lamp and switch the LEDs off.

We’ve mounted this camera on our house to monitor our gates and front door, and it’s been fantastic. The 4K Ultra HD resolution is so clear, both during the day and at night, that we can easily see details like faces and license plates. The smart human/vehicle detection is a game-changer, as it cuts out false alarms from animals or shadows. The motion alerts are spot on, and it’s so convenient to check what’s happening right from the app. Installation was straightforward with the PoE setup – only one cable needed for power and video, which keeps things neat and simple. The built-in microphone is a great bonus, picking up ambient sounds clearly. The option to record to a microSD card or NVR gives flexibility, and the time-lapse feature is a fun extra that’s surprisingly useful for capturing events. This camera has exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for reliable home security!

Bought this to replace an old cheaper camera that had security vulnerabilities. The quality is excellent and motion detection is very flexible. Most importantly, the camera gets regular firmware updates and is supported well by Reolink. It received pet detection in a recent update which works great. Even still, as with other IoT devices I don't allow it to access the internet and use a VPN to access it remotely. The motion detection on this is excellent, to the point where I can now trust it to only record detected people & animals. That gets rid of all the other rubbish my old camera used to record (bushes moving in the wind, spider webs, rain etc). Now there's only a few videos to review in the morning. It can easily be set up to FTP videos, so no need to worry about someone taking the camera to destroy recordings. You can also choose to only upload detected people instead of everything else. The detection zone can be changed to avoid detecting movement say on a public path. You can also specify how big an object should be before the detection kicks in, e.g. you can tell it to ignore small cars that are in the distance. You can grey out certain areas too, such as next door if part of the view includes another house. It has a decent app for Android and also Windows (haven't tried the iOS app), you can also use a browser but the interface isn't as good as the apps. One thing minor thing to note is that if you lower the recording resolution it crops the middle of the view instead of showing the entire thing - although you're buying a 4K camera so not much point reducing the resolution. So just be aware that you may need more storage than normal.

Excellent produit, facile à installer. Je possédais déjà dans mon stock une alimentation PoE. La caméra fonctionne avec l'application Reolink, mais je ne m'en sers pas depuis que j'ai configuré la caméra ; je l'utilise via DS Cam de Synology (caméra reconnue par le serveur). Intégration HomeKit possible via partage RSTP et plugin Homebridge FFMPEG. La qualité est top, y compris de nuit.

Esta camara seria la que yo instalaria si tuviese una casa de campo o algo asi. Construida en metal y facil de instalar. Gran calidad de imagen gracias a que es de 8mp, buena tasa de fotogramas... Yo soy partidario siempre de instalarlo junto a un grabador de la propia marca en vez de instalarle una tarjeta sd...

Excellente qualité de fabrication. Excellente qualité d'image durant le jour. Excellente application avec beaucoup de possibilités. Par exemple, enregistrement directement sur le PC (Windows). Durant la nuit présente une image bruitée même , si la rue est bien éclairée. Des objets en mouvement deviennent des fantômes et laissent des traînées. Dommage... P.S: j'ai la sonnette 2K et 3 caméras 4K (une est PTZ avec un zoom optique x5) de cbez Reolink. Dans l'ensemble, je suis très satisfait. Les caméras fonctionnent et enregistrent hors ligne ! C'est très important.

Detta är min andra likadana och den första har fungerat felfritt utomhus i 2 år. Ganska kompetent egen programvara. Jag har inte fått den att fungera med frigate men det är nog mer mitt fel än kamerans

Da eine unserer anderen Kameras (deutsches Produkt), nach 3 Jahren den Geist aufgegeben hatte, musse Ersatz her. Da ich nicht bereit war, erneut 300€ für eine POE Kamera zu investieren, die dann nach dieser Zeit defekt ist, bin ich über diese Kamera "gestolpert". Im Angebot kam diese mit knapp 79€ schnell in Frage. Die Bewertungen schienen auch auf ein ganz gutes Produkt zu schließen. Kurze Zeit später erfolgte die Lieferung. Verpackung und Beschreibung waren gut. Die Kamera konnte ich schnell installieren und in der hauseigenen App war die Einbindung in unser Heimnetzwerk fix erledigt. Das Montagematerial und die Befestigungskomponenten machten zwar zunächst nicht den besten Eindruck, aber da die Kamera unter dem Vordach installiert wird, und zudem man kein Kabel offen liegen hat, konnte ich den relativ schlechen "Dichtpfropfen" weglassen und habe die Kabeldurchführung nur vorsichtshalber mit Elektriker-Isolierband "versiegelt". Die Einbindung in unser SYNOLOGY Surveillance System hingegen klappte nicht auf Anhieb, das hat mich ein paar Stunden beschäftigt. Ob dies nun mit meinen eingeschränkten IT Fähigkeiten oder an der Kamera lag, kann ich nicht ganz beantworten. Es kann eine Mischung aus beiden sein. Letztendlich habe ich dann doch irgendwann auch in der SYNOLOGY App ein Bild von der Kamera erhalten und seitdem läuft die Verbindung über POE stabil. Die Bildqualität bei Tag ist auch wie erhofft sehr gut und scharf. Die Nachtsichtfunktion ist okay und für unsere Zwecke ausreichen, könnte aber den wichtigen Bereich etwas besser ausleuchten. Ob man dem mit einer zusätzlichen IR Beleuchtung entgegenwirken kann, kann ich nicht genau sagen. Die Bewegungserkennung funktioniert sehr gut. Hier muss man schauen, dass man die Werte, wie oft und wann diese eine Meldung ausgeben soll, für sich individuell einstellt. Da heißt es "herantasten". Anfangs hatte ich diese recht empfindlich eingestellt, sodass ich bei fast jedem Ereignis eine Nachricht erhalten habe. Nach Angabe von Erkennungsbereichen und Empfindlichkeit der Software, habe ich dies auf ein akzeptables Niveau heruntergebrochen. Fakt ist jedoch, dass auch hier diese Kamera, dem fast viermal teureren Vorgänger in nichts nachsteht, eher im Gegenteil. Das eingebaute Mikrofon nutze ich zwar im üblichen Gebrauch nicht, aber zu Testzwecken, liefert auch das eine annehmbare gute Qualität. In naher Zukunft werde ich wohl auch eine weitere (baugleiche) Überwachungskamera gegen dieses Model ersetzen. Natürlich bringt auch hier die Zeit weitere Erkenntnisse und wird bei Bedarf hier aktualisiert.
