this actually works perfectly, YES!
you can program this to come on and then off at just 2 degrees difference.it shows the currant temp and that reading seems right on too.I'm only using it for 1 fan in a home made battery back up power box with a inverter battleborn battery with a progressive dynamics 45 amp charger that can get a bit warm when the lid is closed, i do have 2 fresh air vents on the other side of the box.i have tested this for a few weeks now running my new system and it has worked flawlessly, i do recommend the highest velocity fan you can get, i bought this fan(120mm 12V IP65 Waterproof Fan High Speed 12V DC 120mm 12038 3Pin Ventilation Cooling Fan 3500RPMVisit the PANO-MOUNTS Store)*but do note the testing temp in my house was about 65 to 70 degrees and this fan did work good to bring the temp of 85 degrees in the battery box down to the programed 75 degrees and the fan controller worked every time.my only gripe is that i paid $29.95 and i would like to see that price closer to about $20

No good
Can't say if it worked well because it has some proprietary connections so you can't just speed a wire in and tighten it down you have to actually buy some type of flat head bullet connections or something and put those on the wires I bought multiple thermostats to see which one I liked and none of them had this ridiculous feature that made it much more difficult to install not to mention the directions we're so confusing I couldn't figure it out so even if I decided to move forward because the Cosmetic look of it was my favorite I decided to go with the one that made the most sense and had the easiest install which was not this one unfortunately other than that I'm sure it worked fine just be prepared to decipher the directions and buy some extra connections that go on the end of The Wire so you can actually stick it into the machine and tighten the wire down

Nice option for car audio
Amplifiers getting hot? This thermostat paired with PC fans worked like a charm. I have it powered up with ignition & even when the ignition is off the thermostat remembers the programmed on/off temp settings I entered.

NOT a wall thermostat for controlling a heater!!
I was hoping it would control my heating & central fan unit, but it seems to be for something else, because from my wall where my old thermostat came out, there are wires, and this unit has back plug-ins for something with clip- like or peg-like inputs. I can't use this as a regular thermostat counter, that's for sure. The description for the product needs to be updated to explain exactly what this is for, and what type of plug-ins you have to have! I still have to continue to shop for a programmable thermostat for my heater, and return this one...

Great controller with flexible features.
I purchased this controller to control fans in an AV cabinet. It works amazingly well and you can tell that it was carefully designed. It has 4 channels of individual control, a moveable thermo sensor, a standard dc barrel jack, and temperature controls that work for both cooling and heating applications. If I had any suggestions for the manufacturer, it would be to have a model that could control fan speed.

Great for custom builds!
Works with (4) 120mm fans for my custom AV rack. Nice to be able to see the temperature from across the room and know my gear is safe.

Not using it for AV!
I'm using this fan controller for something other than its intended purpose. It makes a great thermostat to control some 12v fans for ventilation in an RV. It gets terribly hot in the RV in the summer, but this controller should make quite the difference when it comes to controlling my small booster fans to move some of the hot air out a little faster through the roof vents. As a bit of a DIYer and tinkerer, I've already built and tested my system out and it works quite well and even helps save battery on the solar power system in the RV. It's nice to just have the set-it-and-forget-it aspect to the ventilation system and not have to worry about heat damage from some of the extreme temps we get. The plastic does feel a little cheap, and the instructions aren't great, but you can figure it out pretty quickly. Overall, I love it for what I'm using it for!
