Great rum for a Cuba libre!
This is a very nice spiced rum, which produces a lovely Cuba Libre. It contains strong hints of vanilla with caramelised notes running throughout, creating a smooth and unique taste, however some may find this rum a little sweet. The rum comes in an attractive and distinctive bottle is some weight and can often be found discounted so offers reasonable value for money.

Bumbu original 70cl rum
I bought this recently for Hubby's birthday gift, he is a big rum fan and this is one of his favourite rums. He describes it as a smooth drink, caramel taste but not overpowering. Goes down a dream and smells as good as it tastes. Hubby has tried mixing with lots of flavours, he will drink it neat easily but to make it last longer adds fizzy. Pairs very well with lemonade, ginger ale and very surprisingly irn bru! Irb bru is his favourite all time mixer with all his rums. Personally, I don't understand it as I'm a lemonade mixer myself. He says it adds another level, like another flavour and brings out the undertones of the rum. Each to their own. Quality is excellent, no after burn, really smooth. Can taste the different flavours easily and overall a really easy pleasant drink. So pleasant, he can easily drink over half the bottle in one sitting, very effective. The bottle is nice, plain and simple, even elegant but solidly built. You feel youre holding a decent weight of glass when holding this bottle. Good shape. I'd say this is mid range price wise, it ranges from £30 - £38 depending on where you purchase from of course. To me personally, I think it's expensive for a 70cl but Hubby will argue it's an excellent rum so worth the price. I was super happy that I managed to get this bottle reduced in the prime black Friday sale so snapped it up immediately. If you see it on offer and haven't tried it, I'd definitely go ahead and try it. Happy customer.

True masterpiece
If liquid gold had a flavor, it would be Bumbu Rum. From the very first sip, Bumbu transports you straight to the heart of the Caribbean — warm breezes, sun-kissed shores, and centuries-old tradition distilled into one unforgettable bottle. Crafted from the finest sugarcane and aged to perfection, Bumbu isn’t just a rum — it’s a masterclass in craftsmanship. The aroma alone is intoxicating: rich notes of Madagascar vanilla, soft caramel, toasted oak, and just a whisper of cinnamon. It smells like dessert, but tastes like sophistication. The flavor profile is complex yet incredibly smooth. Think spiced banana bread drizzled in toffee, with hints of nutmeg, clove, and a sweet molasses finish that lingers like a good memory. Whether sipped neat, on the rocks, or in a premium cocktail, Bumbu delivers a luxurious experience every time. And let’s talk about the bottle — a stunning work of art. Heavy in the hand, with a bold “X” stamped across the front, it commands attention on any shelf. It’s the kind of bottle you proudly display, not tuck away. Final Verdict: Bumbu Rum isn’t just a drink; it’s an experience. Perfect for connoisseurs and newcomers alike, it’s a celebration of Caribbean tradition with a modern twist. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out on one of the most flavorful and accessible premium rums on the market. Rating: 10/10 – pure liquid gold

Spectacular rum!
This is a gorgeous rum. Strong hints of vanilla and caramelised notes running through creating an exceptionally smooth and unique taste. Would go so far as to say this is the best rum we've ever tasted.

Jack Sparrow would approve.
Why did you choose this product over others?: My first try of this was in our local, my partner was intrigued by the design of the bottle, it looks very “Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean” even down to the cork stopper. The landlady very generously gave us a sample to try. Now I’m a bourbon drinker when it comes to spirits and my partner likes gins but this rum is amazing. Not overly hot or sickly sweet, just a nice caramely? taste. I would not drink this all night but my partner would. She had it with a little ice which when melted she said made it even better. So anyway, we bought 2 bottles when we found it at our local supermarket, not cheap but worth it. My partner has tried it mixed with Baileys ( it was Xmas time though) and said it made the Baileys less sickly. If nothing else, the bottles are amazing and quite heavy and would look nice with bottle lights in when finished.

Good But Get The Canerock!
Spiced rums are a go to for me and Bumbu definitely stands out. The bottle is lovely giving that a premium look. Flavour wise, it's smooth and leans heavily into the sweet side. A nice balance of spices that makes it easy to sip straight or mix with coke. It's not dry, overly spiced or too strong. My only reason for knocking off one star is it's a bit on the sweet side. If you want a more traditional spiced rum bite, this wont be for you. If you do want something smooth and easy to drink, it's still a great choice. Would definitely buy again as it's a good price for the taste but there are better out there. Canerock being one example, which I feel is superior!

Smooth with a great taste
Lovely rum, I've always been a big rum drinker but I usually mix it, so wanted to try something that is nice to drink on it's own. Saw some of the reviews for Bumbu and decided to give it a go, great taste and will definitely be ordering more
